Four stars!
This was a really sweet short story. I liked Angelo and Dominic together. They had such strong feelings for each other so quickly I couldn’t help but root for them right from the beginning. I would have liked to see more of their relationship building on page. However the parts we do get to see paint a wonderful picture of their feelings for each other.
Angelo makes my heart hurt in this story. He is so strong to overcome his illness. He is someone that is

This is a short but detail filled story about a shifter who becomes ill with a human disease. Now most books will say that this is impossible, which is why it made for such interesting reading. There is everything in here that you would want or need in a novella - enough backstory so you know what's going on without drowning in it, steam between the main two, plenty of interesting and quirky secondary characters, and an overall story arc that I hope will continue as there are questions left unan ...more

This was a cute story but left a lot of unanswered questions.

Only about forty pages total, we get a snap shot of Angelo and his life at that minute. But in that snap shot we see just how close he is to his sister, what travels he’s been on and he’s favorite things to do before illness hits him.

Dominic, is a nurse and one night happens to do follow his gut and talks to a stranger, that happened to be the best decision of his life.

Together, Dominic and Angelo start a friendship that turns into a r

In a strange turn of events, Angelo – an “ocean shifter” – ends up with Leukemia and having to stay “human” to receive treatment. His one night hook-up ends up being his oncology nurse and his mate!

The hook-up/nurse/mate,Dominic, is a human and Angelo is worried about where things will go if and when he heals.

This was a short little story with some unique twists. I liked the “ocean shifter” thing and wished we’d seen Angelo “shifted”. I liked where the plot was heading with other paranormals

~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~

This is a very quick read, but manages to pack in a lot of story - and hope. It is moving, sensual and cute, and has a properly meaningful title. Although the paranormal elements are key to the plot, it is also just the start of a great romance between two guys.

Perfect break time reading. Thank you Ms Rhodes.
