Once again Nicole Jacquelyn delivers an awesome read that honestly held me captive from beginning until the end. 'Change of Heart' was as addictive as the previous book in the series and while it wasn’t as angsty as the first one, which I enjoyed, it was truly emotional at times. Even since I met Bram and Anita in book1 I was intrigued by them and I was so damn curious how these two relationship will unfold knowing they were hating each other for so long.

I haven't been in much of a reviewing mood lately for some reason. And I hope to eventually get around to a full review for this...maybe...but in the meantime, I'll say that I really enjoyed this. NJ is one of my favorite authors and she just seems to get better with every book.

Now, while not as angsty as the first one - which I rated 5 stars - this one was still pretty angsty. That said, I must say that I think my reading tastes must be in...."transition" mode or something as I am fin

After reading Unbreak My Heart earlier this year, I knew I needed Bram and Anita’s book asap! I love the emotional and angsty way this author writes this series. As much as I loved the first book, I think I loved this one even more. Anita and Bram’s story hit me like a ton of bricks. I really felt for them and this story made me feel so much!

Anita and Bram are two people who don’t get along. You know those people that always seem to pick on each other, both are outspoken and always h

CHANGE OF HEART is a story jam-packed with incredible steam and heartbreaking angst. I loved the hero and heroine and the beautiful family that surrounded them with so much love and support. Once I picked up this book it really was quite hard to put down. Nicole Jacquelyn’s storyte

There's something about this series that is entirely too addicting for me. I'm not even kidding; I'll start the book, blink, and the next thing I know, I'm done. I devoured Unbreak My Heart in one sitting, and I'm thrilled to have a repeat offender with Change of H

I’m embarrassed to say that it took me till forty-three percent in this story to realize that this is Kate’s family from the first book and that I had met them all already.

This is her foster sister and brother’s love story and it was pretty kick ass. Anita and Bram having a good size age gap and didn’t truly grow up together. Never being true brother and sister and have a pretty interesting relationship until one night…

Unbreak My Heart was one of my top favorite books this year, so I was beyond thrilled to see characters I loved in the first book get their own story. And I loved this book just as much as the first!

Ani and Bram have never gotten along. Though Bram was out of the house as an adult when Ani was brought in as a foster kid to his family, the two have always butted heads and snapped at each other. So on a random night Ani finds Bram at a bar, and the two turn their anger into passion. That

Ever since I read "Unbreak My Heart", I KNEW that I had to read this one and I was so happy that this turned out to be Bram and Ani's story. If you loved Shane and Kate, then you're going to crazy for Bram and Anni because these two? Gave sexual tension a whole new meaning. This is a story about family, loss, and what it truly means to love someone selflessly.

Book 2 in a series of standalone romance reads, Change of Heart was an angsty emotional story, between two childhood frenemies that grew up together in foster care.

Ever since they were teens, they have been at war, constantly sniping at each other and riling each other up for fun. However, since they are family and are still in very close contact with their foster parents, and are working together at the family business, they have pretty much seen each other every day for the la

Hate, despise, abhor. These are all words that can describe how Anita feels about Abraham. To put it simply, she can't stand the man..well that was until she saw a different side to him and they shared a night of lust filled passion. Now she has no clue what her true feelings are.

Change of Heart packed a heavy dose of emotion that hit right at the beginning of the book. With no slow walk into it, we're thrust into this world where these charact

Overall Opinion: Well...another book that I'm probably a minority on! I didn't love the first book in this series, Unbreak My Heart, but I still thought I should give this one a shot. I think I did like it better than the first, but it is still not going down on my favorites shelf. Like the first book, I just couldn't get over some of the words and actions of the H and how he treated the h. I never felt that he redeemed himself enough. The mean things he said were so nasty, and I was a l

I enjoyed this story so much more than the first book in the series! So very glad I decided to continue on.

Abraham (Bram) Evans certainly has his issues but at least he evolves through the story. He was adopted by the family that first fostered him and his twin brother at age six. Anita (Ani) Martin was also fostered by the same family but after Bram had left and was on his own. Their relationship could be described as acrimonious at best...until it wasn't.

I heard so many amazing things about her previous book Unbreak My Heart and so when her publisher contacted me for an opportunity to read Change of Heart I knew I need to discover why so many readers are raving about Nicole Jacquelyn’s emotional angsty series, Fostering

When I read a book that I plan to review, I typically stop reading the book periodically to take some notes, to highlight, to jot down my thoughts that'll eventually make their way into my review. While reading Change of Heart, I did none of that. I devoured this book so hungrily, so feverishly, I didn't even stop to think. I finished it last night, and honestly, I still haven't stopped to think. All I can see are these characters and this brutally beautiful journey they took, the heated words t ...more

Nicole Jacquelyn has done it a again! She made me feel everything in these characters. I literally wanted to strangle them one minute and then hug them the next.

We know from book one (different couple) that Ani and Bram do not see eye to eye...ever.

They are both strong willed characters that hide their lust for each other with snark and attitude. They can not be in the same room without going at each other's throats. Of course that means that when they finally collide, the explosion was going

OMG this book. This author. Guys, you need to be reading this shit. Right now.

In Change of Heart we get the story of Abraham “Bram” and Anita “Ani” and although they may have grown up as foster kids of the same family, they were more like oil and water. When Ani follows Bram after their family dinner, she gets quite the surprise. What starts as a way to avoid barflies, turns into a hot quickie. But what starts as a quick fling, shifts when these two develop feelings for each other, but all of th

This was only my second Nicole Jacquelyn book. When I picked up Unbreak My Heart earlier this year, I wasn’t sure what to expect and well, it basically blew me away. It’s one of my favorite books of 2016 so far and Change of Heart delivered the same kind of punch—it was emotional, raw, and compelling in a way that I’m beginning to recognize as trademark for Ms. Jacquelyn.

The language in this book just really rubbed me the wrong way. I love alpha males and a cuss word here and there is totally fine but this is riddled with constant cussing from every single character. Even as a family around the dinner table included. Their inner monologue is swearing. Because of that, it gave me a negative, trashy opinion of both main characters Bram and Anita.

I also wish we'd gotten more background time with Bram and Anita before they chose to sleep together. It felt incestua

Change of Heart was one of my most anticipated reads of the year. Hands down. Especially after reading Unbreak my Heart. I could barely breathe when I finished Shane and Katie's story. It was turbulent, yet phenomenal. Beyond phenomenal. So I knew, without a shadow of a doubt, that I would be reading about Ani and Bram the moment it was in my hands. And let me tell you, it was FANTASTIC!

This series, as a whole, is intoxicating. Each book is a stand-alone novel, about a new couple. T
Ah I loved this, LOVED it. It came as quite a surprise because I wasn't too sure that I was going to like Ani all that much, I'm not a huge fan of prickly heroines. But she totally worked it, and the author played it just right showing us that under all that prickly was the sweetest girl.

This also worked because there was no ex drama-rama, no misunderstandings, no ridiculous plot lines and even though my pet peeve Push 'n Pull was there it didn't annoy me - I totally got why they were both nervo

I just powered through this story like no tomorrow. I couldn't stop. It was that addictive. I've been waiting for Bram and Ani's story since I finished Unbreak My Heart which I also enjoyed tremendously. I don't know what it is about Nicole Jacquelyn and her words but capture me they do.

Bram and Ani's chemistry was intoxicating and hypnotizing. I couldn't get enough of their bickering and when it finally came to blows it was crazy hot!!!!!! That first scene when they got together was fa

I liked the chemistry between the 2 main characters. Neither were perfect and they both messed up and eventually made amends. Anita was no door mat either. Good book.

I think I've been a negligent mother today and I shamelessly blame Nicole Jacquelyn! Sorry, baby!

Change of Heart follows the changing relationship between foster siblings Abraham (Bram) and Ani (Anita) who have known and disliked each other for 14-15 years. One night they come to a head and all the negativity seems to transform into a passionate friends with benefits arrangement. Neither is willing to admit that it is more than physical, but s

It's so hard to love the two main characters when they both act like such dicks through most of the entire story. It wasn't all bad. The storytelling was tight and the sex was smoking hot. I was hoping for a lot more angst, and well, to at least like the two main characters. Not giving up on this author though. Looking forward to seeing what will happen in the next story from this series.
