Foul-mouthed, tattooed, vegan Marie Diaz-Austin accepted a summer internship on a ranch north of Santa Barbara to work with underprivileged and special needs kids. Will Thrash, the gorgeous, but conservative rancher, wants nothing to do with left-wing liberals like her.

Although they hate each other’s politics, they cannot deny their immediate and growing attraction to eac

What happens when your political views is the cause of your fierce attraction and equally fierce revulsion ?

Two people who are completely wrong for each other on paper are so perfectly imperfect together and Leslie McAdams shows us in the most beautiful way how opposites do attract.

Sexy, funny, eye opening and fast paced this novel will have you laughing and blushing with every turn of the page.

Will is a dominant, opinionated and sexy ranch

6 stars!

I've been thinking of how I can review this book without giving away spoilers - especially since I hate those. I also don't want to recap the blurb, so you'll have to excuse my attempt.

This book, gah! It is SO much more than a romance novel. It's a book about us humans and how we judge people based on labels and not on their characters.

There are so many labels we have in this world: man, woman, boy, girl, LGBT, straight, right-handed, left-handed, vegan, vegetarian, omnivore, republican,

I loved this book. The characters were different from what I've read about lately and they most definitely thought they were too different to get along - were they wrong, yes they was, but it was a fun and sexy ride while they found their way.

Will is a man, big and strong, arrogant, hot-headed and opinionated little does he know that his met his match in Marie! Marie is a woman with strong morals and strong beliefs, including politics. Upon meeting the rude Will, which is not the most conventio

Marie Diaz-Austin, 32, takes a summer internship working with kids at a ranch, while completing her most recent degree. Will Trash, 34, owns said family ranch after his parents retirement. On the surface, they are about as opposite as it gets. Marie is a tie-dye loving, tree hugging, vegan, liberal while Will is meat eating, taxes hating, cowboy, conservative.

“We were two galactic bodies orbiting each other, pulled by gravity, but repelled by an equal force.”

But their largely opposite viewpoint

The Stars in the Sky, book two of Leslie McAdam’s Giving You series, may have just snagged “favorite” status away from book one, The Sun and the Moon. I said may have. While all of her characters are original, hilarious, fun, sexy, and sometimes too smart for their own good, Ms. McAdam gives us unique storylines in each book. And I absolutely loved this one! Her rich descriptions of central California coast ranch and farmlands made me feel as if I were there. Since this is an area I am very fami

While this is the second book in a series, it can be read as a standalone. This story has the whole opposites attraction thing going on.

On one side, you’ve got hippie, tree-hugging, liberal Marie Diaz-Austin

and the other side you’ve conservative, modern day Marlboro man, Republican, Will Thrash.

And I must say their first encounter was memorable and funny as Marie rushes into a washroom, only to find one wet, naked and hot man. And then, soon after that, he returns the favour! Will and

The Stars in the Sky by Leslie McAdam will literally leave you seeing stars are you read and fall in love with a delicious kinky cowboy who can be a bit of an asshole... We all love a moody asshole right?
Leslie writes a perfect story here, intense burning chemistry, kinky, hot sex scenes, a sassy, strong female lead and Will, the delicious kinky cowboy that made my head pound, heart hum and knees weak.
As I mention this story had an intense burning chemistry that built up between Marie and Will

So it's hilarious how Goodreads lets authors review their own book. Like, what am I going to say? I really thought that Will should have been a blond? That really Marie's tattoo should have been of a butterfly and not a star? Or that all of the whatever-it-is, six or eight or ten (ha!) sex scenes, should all fade to black? That I should have delved into the issue of tie-dye and its effect on the environment? That I should swear less? (There's a lot of swearing.) That there should be more cowbell ...more

I'll take a big bite of cowboy Will's delicious country valentine anytime, any day! I really really love the way Leslie writes... her story and characters are so warmly engaging, deeply moving and so very special! Such a great read!
I love the fiery stubbornness of Marie and all of her wonderful ideals to make the planet a better place; her giving heart is big and her fun energy is contagious! I fell for Will instantly! He is one seriously gorgeous hunk of calm, cool, and collected

You know that saying t** for tat well the first few meetings of Will and Marie are in some compromising positions and Will's reaction to Marie's position is most entertaining, "Mr. Handsome Shower Man stood there, staring at me. Then his eyes raked down my body, then up, then down again. Then he shook himself and turned red, shoving his hands in his jeans." I fell hardcore in love with Will, "so, no meat? ***t. What do you eat, girl? No wonder you're so skinny." His brows furrowed and he looked

What happens when two people with opposing views on major issues end up running into each other literally? Well if these two are hot and attracted to each other you get a bunch fireworks both in and out of the bedroom.

This is Leslie McAdam's follow up to her debut novel The Sun and The Moon. These books are stand alone's in a series but you don't have to read the first book to read this one. But I recommend reading the first one because it was really good.

When you least expect it, you run into conflict. That doesn't mean that you should be ashamed to want to lick the water droplets off said conflict because it is fresh out of the shower and looks like it needs to be tied to your bed. Conflict looks really good in those jeans, too, but we shouldn't base a relationship on that. Although...no, No, NO.
Will and Marie have REALLY opposing views. They would never have met had it not been for the therapeutic Headlands Program. Will Thrash runs the ranch

Leslie has once again delivered us a carefree, funny, sexy book with two characters who couldn't be any more different from one another! This book was so different than Leslie's first but no less amazing.

We have the hippy, vegan Democrat and the uber sexy, kinky, Republican cowboy. These characters will make you bust up laughing at the silly arguments and situations they have with one another and positively swoon at their hotter than hot kinkiness. These two clash heads from the get go

I really loved Leslie's first book The Sun and the Moon - it was a really refreshing take on erotic romance. The heroine was someone I could identify with - finding herself and her sexuality after traumatic life events. And in The Stars in the Sky, there was another premise that chimed with me - can you love or even be attracted to someone with completely opposite political beliefs? For me that has always been a deal-breaker but maybe I should think again after reading this story of a woman comi ...more

OMG Leslie you write a great book! I'm not usually a fan of books that feature a friend or side character from the first book as the star but this is damn good and a total standalone, you don't need to read The Sun and the Moon to enjoy this, although I highly recommend it because it's brilliant too! From Marie and Will's first meeting (Will is wet and naked) you just know their relationship is going to be hot as sin. I've been lucky enough to have encountered quite a few new author's while doing some reviews. Leslie is a new one for me, believe me she delivered an amazingly funny 5 star story. After reading the Sun and the Moon, I knew I was ready for Leslie McAdam to throw some more sexiness my way. She not only brings us the hottest, dirty talking guys around, she includes gems of inspiration in her story to shed a whole new light on a topic. With Marie and Will she proves that opposites do attract and that underneath the beliefs, appearance, and even our taste in music there are similarities. Marie and Will are volatile, smokin' ho

Here is something you might not know about me, I love cowboys. I think it all steams from the first harlequins I would borrow from my grand-mamma. But every time I read about a cowboy I get the warm fuzzes, my heart beats just a little bit faster. So already Will had an advantage.

Now I started this one as an e-book, but then I bought the paperback signed, and well I had to wait and read it that way. So glad I did because NOTHING beats a paperback. Oh and my favorite rea

I laughed myself silly at points in this book and couldn’t help but draw comfort from the fact that there are some sources of political commentary at the moment that should really read this and then take stock of the fact that they just take themselves too seriously!
This was a funny, sexy read, one that didn’t take too much thinking about and but one that blew away the political clouds that seems to like waft around and linger like a bad smell.

So good! I devoured this book from start to finish in one night! This book wasn't at all what I expected from the synopsis, it was so much more. How can different can you possibly be?

Will is a republican rancher.
Marie is a vegan liberal.

Do they get along?

Will calls her another f@cking liberal.
Marie call him an @sshole.

Why?

Because the attraction is so intense they really don't know what to make of it.

Well that's not true. Will seems to know exactly what he wants from Marie. But she can't commit to anything the Republican, meat eating, anti-feminist says or wants! Can she?No that would be absurd, they don't agree on anything.

THIS should be interesting! :) I really really enjoyed this story, learning to open your heart, and finding that the political labels are not what matters. The Stars in the Sky is my first read by this author and I have to say I really enjoyed it.

Marie is introduced as the vegan Democrat who is doing a summer internship at a ranch helping underprivileged kids. Will is the Republican ranch owner who antagonizes the feisty Marie as soon as he meets her.

Conflicting ideologies make for strange bed fellows.

Can a staunch republican and an idealistic democrat find love? Or is political disaster in the making?

Marie Diaz-Austin accepts and internship on a ranch that will test her liberal resolve. It all begins with a shower encounter. One quick wet run in with Will Thrash, ranch owner, and a superficial, judgmental comment leads to a political relationship wrench.

Marie is a devout liberal and can't move past her beliefs. Will is staunch in his belief
