I was given this ARC in return for an honest review and I adored Wolfie Young's story! He didn't mean to kill his mother as he thrashed out of her torn body, but he didn't expect this father would cast him out in the snow once he came into the werewolf world as a Bloodling! If it hadn't been for his milk brother and his adopted mother he would surely have died. Growing up he was at ease with his wolf form and only changed to human when the need arose. His older brother and he were at odds with e ...more

EPISODE 1- Bloodling Wolf: Wolf Young is a bloodling. Unlike most werewolves he is born a wolf. His father wants nothing to do with him and tosses him out into the snow to die. He is taken in and raised by Tia, becoming a milk-brother to Chase. He spends his childhood as a wolf until the age of 14 when he learns to shift. Although younger than his blood-brother Justin, he is far superior and even more dominant. Justin knows this and forces Wolfie to leave the pack. Wo

The beginning started at a good pace slowly building from a young brain to a lupine brain and human brain. Differences of bloodling and werewolves and their human forms were dissected carefully to bring you up to speed. I followed each descriptive detail carefully absorbing it and forming quite a picture of each character. From his terrible moment of birth to finding his milk brother Chase and mother Tia who possesses the softest heart in the village. Wolfie Young grew to a humble caring bloodli ...more

A bloodling is a wolf shifter who is born as a wolf instead of a baby, and it causes the death of its mother. That being said, Wolf is a bloodling, the youngest son of the alpha. The alpha wants nothing to do with his kind, and forces the midwife to throw him out into the snow to die. His uncle is sympathetic to his plight and makes sure he manages to crawl in the right direction to be taken in by a toddler Chase (shifter) and his widowed mother Tia, who willingly breast fed Wolf and raised him ...more

I loved the concept of a Bloodling Werewolf--a werewolf more in touch with his wolf side--versus a "normal" werewolf. And Wolf (the MC) did a lot of things that made him likeable, such as taking responsibility of a pack of outcasts.

I've never been a great fan of first-person narrative, and this was an example of why; LOTS of telling and minimal showing. And yet, overall, the writing itself is excellent and, as mentioned, the premise compelling.

As a newbie to the werewolf genre, being TOLD what w

Amazing read. Because I didn't know about the Bloodling Series, I came across and read Shiftless first. I was wheeled in by Terras story to the point that I had to continue the series (which almost never happens). While in search of the continued story, I came across this series which appeared to be the beginning of the story. Because I had already read Shiftless there was so much I could relate to while reading Wolfie's story. I was amazed by the depth of the story and the author's ability to i ...more

Great story about Wolfie, from neeing born to adulthood. I am glad to be able to read the entire series in one book.
Who Wolfie is and how he came to have a pack outcasts. From the moment he is born, Wolfie is already an outcast and yet he survives to go on with his own pack.Wolfie faces some real challenges. While the challenges start outside of his pack, It does affect his pack and how he must lead. At the end there is the twist that makes you wonder if Chief Wilder was so crazy after all and d

I enjoyed this much more than the Alpha Underground series. Wolfie is a more interesting character. The book is composed of about five stories, starting with Wolfie’s birth and ending just before the Wolf Rampant series.
Typos: sunken, of course (used as a verb but it’s an adjective). There’s a plural/singular mismatch, an apostrophe s plural, a couple incorrect uses of ‘like’ as a comparative, and a wrongly placed comma at the end of a quote. I was also confused when Wolfie repeatedly referred

This was an amazing book!!!

Aimee Easterling writing style is unique and was perfect for this story. The way she portrayed Wolf Young was the perfect fit.

Not many authors can describe and their characters properly but she is one of the few who have been able to.

The storyline was great, her writer's style made the book really good! I wish there was more and I am definitely going to read more of her books.

Interesting not to say the least.

It was a twist to the regular wolf books I have read and I have read alot.I must say his delivery, birth and acceptance into the wolf society/world was a bit much for me but it's a different concept. I like his journey of survival and force growth to Alpha because of his brother.

I must say I wanted to know how Wolf's father had died and I was bit curious as to where Justin was throughout the years as he and his pack grew.

Fun & complex "almost rated PG" series of books

I really loved this series and will continue on with the next one "shiftless", as Wolffe and his pack definitely have captured my heart. I thought it sound silly at first, however after reading the first chapter I was totally hooked and now understand the nickname, etc.. A virtual insight into wolves and their tendencies as well as how it would truly affect shifters. A romp thru woods like you're really in the story!

Enjoyed getting to read a bit of Wolf's back story - sorry I still can't call him = Wolfie - just can't picture any self respecting Alpha, reluctant or not, allowing themselves to be called that - even if I do understand where the name comes from.

That's probably my ONLY beef with this set of stories.

Definitely enjoyed finding out more about this world and how the shifters operate within it.

Really liked the world building over the course of this mini-series. I was frustrated by Wolfie falling into that trap in part 4, as no doubt I was expected to be. So glad when his pack mates managed to help him break free. Interesting characters, and I will be following up with the Wolf Rampant series to see how it all turns out. :)

I loved reading Wolf Young’s story from rejected bloodline to true Alpha of his own pack. Wolf is grows from a wolf struggling with his human half to an Alpha with a strong set of morals. This background story really helps set the scene for Terra’s story by showing how Wolfie always felt connected to her and how her father (Crazy Wilder) manipulated actions even then.

Although the five stories are sequential in the collection, they are each complete. Wolfie's age is the only detail that significantly determines the order of the stories.

He is a strong character developing in his role as alpha of his own pack. Pack is family and an alpha protects and supports his pack.

Aimee writes good stories about a range of shifters. Always enjoyable.

I loved this series! It's about an alpha wolf shifter who is more wolf than human. It tells his story since he was born and grows up. I really loved getting to know him and I can't wait to read Shiftless to continue his story.

Bloodling (Episode 1): Bloodling was the second book I ever read by Aimee Easterling, right after Shiftless. I was intrigued by the idea of a bloodling, how they are born differently, and typically killed in a shifter pack. I wanted to understand about the alpha Wolfie Young and his pack. In this story you can see the unique bond that forms between Chase and Wolfie. This episode shows the reason why they are so close, and eventually end up starting a pack together. The author also brings in the ...more

AWESOME! I have always loved Wolfie, Terra and the rest of the pack. This set was fantastic as it gave me the background and filler information that I had been dying to know about Wolfie’s life before Terra all in one sitting. Of course that was a double edged, since at one point I had to close the book and take a break not believing what had happened.

This serial could probably be read without reading any of the other Wolfie and Terra stories. But the best ah-ha & oh-no moments are better appre

Read Shiftless (the first in this series) and was hooked completely from the start. Loved it so much had to get the rest of the books in not only this series, but the complete bloodling serial (which is Wolfie's life before Shiftless) plus the first of the Alpha Underground series (which is a spin off from this series about Fen's life after Alpha Ascendant). All great books, and I'm sure if you start reading you'll be hooked on them too. The characters are wonderful, as is the world that Aimee h ...more

I actually really loved this series. They are short stories basically following Wolfie Young. The writing of this book was great. It really made me feel like the characters were here nowadays and trying to fit into human society while being apart. The stories in this series are about Wolfie growing up. He is learning to be an alpha while also learning to be human I guess you could say.
I did feel like the sex scene in the book was very out of place. The cursing also seemed a bit out of place. If

He was born in wolf form and his father tossed him out into the snow yo die. But he was saved by a child in the pack (chase) who brought him in to his home and his mother (tia) who kept him as her own.

Wolfe is now 22 years old and leader of his own pack for a third of his life. A letter came from his blood brother telling of their father's death and his taking over as alpha. Ordering his to give his back to a brother he couldn't stand. Yea as if he would lol not happ

Recommends it for: shifter fans, furry fans
I have enjoyed Aimee Easterling's wolf packs almost as much as I did Patricia Briggs. The concept of a child born in wolf form who only manifests human form at puberty is intriguing even if it sometimes seems unlikely. Easterling builds these stories well, with characters developed in depth even though some seem a bit too extreme at times.

The stories in this volume take place before the Wolf Rampant Box Set: A Fantastical Werewolf Adventure for the most part, and help to fill in historical deta

I am quickly becoming addicted to the world that Aimee Easterling has created in her shifter/werewolf books. I absolutely lose myself into the world and have become fast friends with the characters in the novels. I started somewhere in the middle of all these peoples lives, and only met Wolf Young from a distance in that book. However, even from that distance I knew that I liked him. Now as I have finished his, lets say "backstory" because his life is not done, therefore it can't be his life sto ...more

Wolfie , slated to die from birth , goes on to be the strongest of the pack even surpassing his blood brother not only is he physically strong is extremely intelligent making him able to be capable in the human world while being leader in his animal world . I was given this ARC in return for an honest review and I have to say I absolutely loved this series!!! It starts out introducing Wolfie from the time he's born and each book shows his growth in a man. I won't give away the story but I wasn't disappointed in the story. There were surprises throughout all 5 books and I would recommend to anyone that loves shifter books. I would even recommend to someone that enjoys a good book. This was extremely well written. Worth reading for sure!!!
