In Jefferson City, things really do go bump in the night. The city is plagued with supernatural elements, but most of the citizens are unaware. Jaysk McLeod is the owner of the Four Aces—the central hub of all things evil—where gamblers often disappear and demons usually flock.

Kristen Bailey is a bullied teen from a broken home, until one day she loses control of her emotions and her special abilities appear. She gains super strength she can’t always control and unnatural healing abilities. Jameson Brown is just a young man with an addiction and no purpose, until he meets his first demon. Sheila and Star are both survivors of demon attacks. These four random citizens—troubled outcasts—meet with one common goal, to purge the monsters from their city.

Funded by Pryce, a former government scientist, they form a demon hunter team known as the Alliance. With the help of some unlikely allies, they must take back their city from Jaysk and the other supernatural elements that plague it. The Alliance:

In entirety, the plot is new, fresh, and just different from all these fantasy/action types of books out there. I just love how the book is never predictable. It was a quick read and the flow of the story is just perfect. No parts were too rushed or too slow. I’m glad the ending and what it is to come is new and not something cliche as most books are. Love the story developments of each character. The author really took the time to introduce each one in a unique way. I really get their personalities shown through their mannerisms. The villian, Jaysk, seems so sinister and powerful. SOOO glad he was kinda forced back into Drakon. The strong point of this book is definitely the descriptions. The dialogue is both witty and filled with random snippets of nerdy jargon. I disliked Bailey's character at first, but i understand where she's coming from. hope she becomes more mature in future books. I look forward to reading all the sequels and other stories you write. You have a unique writing style and it’s neither laborious nor dull. Great job

It's an outstanding book right from the get go. The story grabs you right from the beginning and does not let go until the end. The character development for this book really does make you care about them. It's a very interesting story from a very interesting new author. I highly recommend it for supernatural/fantasy fans or for those you love a good read.

Great read! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I really enjoyed getting to know the characters and learning their personalities. Bloodlines pulls you in and doesn't let you go until the end. Since it's a series I'm excited about Drakon (the second book). For an up and coming author S.E. Doster is as good as it gets. Great imagination!
