I joke that I "cut my romance teeth" on the old historical romance books. I’ve written as a hobby for over 30 years. In 2014, I finally gave in to the characters in my head pleading for their story to be told. Thus, Emma's Home was created.
My first novel, Emma's Home became an Amazon Best Seller in 3 categories within the first month of publishing. Its success was followed by the rest of the Fairfield Series and then led into the Love's Series. From there I have continued with the romantic suspense Alvarez Security Series and now the Saints Protection & Investigation Series.
My books are filled with sweet romance and hot sex; mystery, suspense, real life characters and situations. My heroes are alphas, take charge men who love the strong, independent women they fall in love with.
I worked as a counselor in a high school and have been involved in education for the past 30 years. I recently retired and now can spend more time devoted to my writing.
I have been married to a wonderfully patient man for 35 years and have 2 adult, very supportive daughters.
When writing, my dog or one of my cats will usually be found in my lap!

Camillo Perez aka Cam used to live his life on the wrong side of the law when he was young. When he is unexpectedly saved from a situation by following a request by chance. From then on he changes his life and becomes a man who he and the family he loves can be proud of. He now works for the Saints Protection & Investigation services. He is one who hasn't found anyone special since he turned his life around and doesn't know if it is for him with the job he has. He then is called for a special mission to save a friend of the companies sister who has been kidnapped and needs to be rescued and he is the most qualified for the job. When he sees the sister's picture he is instantly taken with her and the mission to save her is one that has just become more of a personal reason than just a new mission.
Miriam Delaro is a nurse and starting to feel dissatisfied with her current work at the hospital and looking for something more. She decides to go to Mexico, where a huge earthquake hit, to assist with Red Cross to the disapproval but acceptance of her family. While there she and a few other nurses get kidnapped by a drug cartel to help with the wounded. Now she has to try to keep safe and hope her brother sends help. When Cam arrives and she understands that he is the help sent she is grateful but also finds herself attracted to her hero. As they make their escape, they also start to fall while trying to stay alive and out of the reach of the cartel.
I really enjoyed this story. I loved the hero Cam who was alpha, sweet, and really grew in this story. I loved the heroine Miriam who was sweet, strong and I related to her search in finding what made her happy. This was low angst romance relationship which I always love but had a good story and I liked how they got to know each other. It is on the insta love side but they still get to know each other. Very enjoyable read.

I liked this one, but didn't love it.
I'm not really sure why. I liked Cam and Miriam just fine, along with all the side characters. I guess I just never got into the story. I wasn't crazy about the whole "kidnapped by a drug cartel" story line. I never really felt the connection between the H/h like in the first book. I think the action aspect of the story took over to much, leaving the romance on the back burner.
I dunno, I really like this author so I'll continue with the story. This one just wasn't one of her best IMO.
Side Note: I could have done without the whole "fuck buddy" scene. It wasn't bad, but I didn't see any reason why it was even part of the story? It really served no purpose in moving the story forward.

Received an ARC from the Author for an Honest Review.
Healing Love is the 2nd book in this series. This book is about Cam. He works for the Saints and we first met him in Serial Love.... Cam is reformed bad boy that will melt ur Heart and make you Swoon. He is sent on a mission to save a Nurse named Mariam. Mariam is Jobe's Sister. (Jobe is from Alveraz security series).
Mariam is such a strong woman I know this cos only half of the things she went through I would have given up hope a long time ago but she held on to hope and she was rewarded when Cam came to her rescue.
When he does come to saves her Boy oh Boy it's insta- love or attraction.
They put their feelings aside so he can get his mission done Safely but during this time a beautiful relationship and bond is cemented.
Misunderstandings occur and they separate but when she in Danger again Cam claims her as his and will protect her with his life.
This book has everything that we have come to love about Maryann's books yet every book keeps getting better and better.
I loved Cams Alpha, hot male's nature and Mariams strong will and golden Heart. They are so amazing together and their chemistry is of the charts.
The love making scenes were damn Hot as always.
I love the side Characters they play an important role and their love and Dedication to Cam and Mariam is awe inspiring.

This is the second book in the this series and its beautiful story between Cam who knows what it is to make good and bad decisions in life and Miriam (Jobes sister from the Alvarez series) who is dealing with being kidnapped and falling in love with her rescuer.
I loved this book so much it gets you from the very beginning and it sets off every emotion. It's a great book for anyone. I highly recommend it and any of Ms. Jordan's other books as they are all excellent.

When I stumbled across this author's Love series, she completely captivated me and since then, I just keep coming back. Her alpha males fight hard and love even harder. And one thing you can expect is when they fall, it is so hard that they will do anything they can for the women they love. And her heroines are always kick ass and you will always find yourself rooting for them. This brand spanking new series by her is definitely one you don't want to miss. Be prepared to swoon, hard.
I loved this book. It was a fast read that I devoured in one sitting. From the first page, I was sucked in and couldn't put it down until the end, knowing they got their happy ending. This book was sexy, sweet, fun, intense, passionate, and had a sweet love story wrapped with suspense and tons of twists. This was a great addition to this series and I can't wait for the next book. It's sure to be epic. Get ready for Cam and Miriam... because Cam is a man that will make you swoon and fall hard.

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, betrayal, sadness, and heartbreak.

All the danger lurking around every turn will they make it out in one piece? Just when she thinks all is well is she about to lose everything? Can Cam bring her home safely? Or will he lose not only the girl but his heart also?
I loved these characters and also the side characters. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

Okay, I seriously liked Cam more than I thought I would. He's definitely a book boyfriend.
Healing Love actually takes place during the same time as the first book. While Jack and the rest were focusing on the Campus Killer, Cam was sent to Mexico to save his buddy's sister. Miriam didn't know that when she agreed to aid the Red Cross that cartels would take her hostage and force her to work for them. She's just a simple nurse. However, being young and pretty and intellectually valuable has many eyes on her.
Cam, meanwhile, is a former undercover cop and a Mexican-American. As the only member of Saints Protection and Investigation that will blend in there, he gets sent to Mexico to save her. He doesn't plan on falling for her along the way.
Originally I thought they would be out of Mexico in maybe five chapters and it would be all about the romance. But this was way more hard hitting. It went into details about the cartels and the tragedies there. Miriam sees a lot and handles herself smartly, keeping herself safe until Cam can get to her.
I've read this concept before and it's generally a 2 day trek and they fall in love in 48 hours. However, Cam and Miriam work together for to get out and it felt more authentic with regard to their relationship.
A lot like Elle Kennedy, all of the original characters from the first book are here and we get to know them even more. I'm happy to see all of them are getting their own books, but so far, Cam is my favorite!

This is Cam's story. Cam didn't begin life helping anyone but himself and breaking his parents heart. Finally fearing for where their sons life was heading his family moved them to Virginia. After a talk with the priest Cam decides maybe he needed to change his life. Now to the future. The guys are dealing with a campus killer. Cam has been thinking lately how much he would like to have a relationship like his parents have. But in his line of work relationships don't work or so he thinks? Jobes sister is in danger and they have asked Jack if any of their men can help. Cam is asked to make the trip to Mexico where Miriam went to work with the red cross. Can Cam find and save Miriam?
I like how the author adds characters from a previous series into the next.
The author also gives us a bit about the main characters past which helps us in getting to know the character. The book is very well written and if you love alpha men then its the book for you.

Hoping her brother sends someone for her, she prays her knight in shining armor will appear … and he does .. in the form of a beautiful savior.
This book is the second installment of the SPI. I loved the first book centered around Jack and this one was good as well however the storyline was not my first choice. Im not a huge fan of running from the drug cartel through the jungle and I felt there could have been so much more to the story. The guys are all back which was fantastic and it was good to see where Jack and Bethany were in their lives for sure. Every story isn’t always going to be my favorite but the characters continue to keep me coming back. There is so much more to learn and watch with our SPI men.

Just like all her other books I loved this one, I love the whole protective hero. Miriam Is Jobe sister, we knew about her from Jobe story. Well she is a nurse who went with red cross to help in mexico after an earthquake happen that is when she and other nurses get kidnapped by the cartel. Miriam was strong she didn't run scared she was determined to get out. Cam oh the hotness! He was a bad boy teenager and was able to turn his life around for something good. Jobe ask the saint's protection to help get his sister back and since Cam is familiar with undercover work he volunteers. I liked seeing him undercover but I liked that he was able to get to Miriam. I liked them together they went through so much trying to escape, I'm glad they got their HEA too. Can't wait for the next book

I've received an authors copy for my honest opinion.
Maryann Jordan is one of my favorite authors and I love all her books, but this one is now my favorite (I keep telling that after each new book)
Loved the suspense in this book. I couldn't put it down. Cam was such a protective Alpa and Miriam was a strong heroine.
Very good story can't wait for more of this series.

I recieved an ARC of this book for an honest review and i have to say i absoutley loved loved loved this book amazing ... this book has an HEA and twists it was amzing :)

He started on the wrong path early in his life, following a life of crime. The prayers of his mother and the patience of the family priest helped Cam make better decisions. This book has an underlying sense of God, yet is not at all preachy. As we catch up to Cam, now in the present and working for Jake at Saints Protection and Investigations, he is assigned to go undercover to rescue a kidnapped nurse, the sister of his buddy.
>Miriam is a nurse sent to Mexico with the Red Cross. She is kidnapped by a dangerous cartel. Cam infiltrates the camp and they take a thrill ride out of the Mexican jungle, down a river in a leaky canoe and out onto the bay. Along the way, Cam is impressed by the strength of Miriam and falls for her. Miriam is double taboo as she is a job and the sister of Cam’s buddy. The scenes with both of their “in your face” families are hysterical. The saints theme is once again used as Cam is named after the patron saint of the Red Cross.
>Danger follows Miriam home and all of the saints work together to make sure Cam and Miriam get their HEA. This book is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving this story 5 stars. This book really develops the characters well. There is a lot of suspense and adventure. I highly recommend this series.

Along the way, Cam is impressed by the strength of Miriam and falls for her. Miriam is double taboo as she is a job and the sister of Cam’s buddy. The scenes with both of their “in your face” families are hysterical. The saints theme is once again used as Cam is named after the patron saint of the Red Cross.
>Danger follows Miriam home and all of the saints work together to make sure Cam and Miriam get their HEA. This book is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving this story 5 stars. This book really develops the characters well. There is a lot of suspense and adventure. I highly recommend this series.

Miriam has been kidnapped by the Mexican cartel, while she has been working in Mexico with the Red Cross to assist with those who have been affected by the earthquake. When she is taken, she is forced to work for the cartel to help care for those farmers and guards who have been hurt. Cam infiltrates the camp and manages to get her out. While on the run they cannot deny their attraction towards one another. Can they outrun the cartel or are they doomed? Cam is a wonderful hero, who is a full on Alpha but has a sweet side to him. Miriam was sweet and was strong when she needed to be. Overall a really enjoyable read. This one is insta love but still good.

This is fast becoming one explosive series from this author. The first one was hair raising but this one will upstart it by a long shot not just hair raising but nail biting also. Cam is one of the investigators that knows tough decisions himself. having had a turbulent growing up but a choice will have been the turning point that led him to eventually where he is now. Undercover work is what he does best which also was when one was finished he was led to his new boss Jack and with the team of men I would say are like a puzzle that fits together. It also came though as a surprise when Jack brings a former team member of his to see Cam for a special favor. Jobe's sister was abducted with a few other nurses and with his ability to go undercover and be believable especially due to his Spanish. Then she gives you Miriam's situation which will begin your inching forward in your seat position you will find yourself alot in as you read all the details of her capture and were she stands now. Talk about a great buildup that gets you going right away with you knowing you are in for a bumpy ride. the danger will be intense and the way she has it written you just go with the flow and when she finally gets who Cam is you really know it has only just reached the tip with more to go. This author has grown and now developed into quite the writer with the action that is superb and the romance will be the kind that fits all the elements with when it happens that song entered my head "and the heat is on" type thing. The twists though do not end when they get home because like any good dangerous romance it is not over until the enemy is out of the picture and put down. This author also has become quite good at when to insert a surprise that opens the fly trap your mouth that is when it happens as it does towards the end here. You will fall for Cam and want him to find the one just like Jack so you might get a bit green eyed when Miriam gets her man.

Healing Love (Saints Protection & Investigation) is one of those amazing stories that I could tell by the very first chapter that it was something special. A few more chapters in and I was completely head over heals for leads Cam Perez and Miriam Delao and caught up in the excitement and danger of the story. Healing Love is a 5 star read for me and I enjoyed the story so much that after the first read I jumped back into the story for a second go.
Cam and Miriam are multi-dimensional characters that jump off of the page. Beyond the pairs romantic connection I invested in them on an individual basis. I enjoyed the weaving in of author Maryann Jordan's Alvarez Security and Saints Protection & Investigation characters but appreciated that Healing Love is structured so that it could be read as a stand-alone.

When I stumbled across this author's Love series, she completely captivated me and since then, I just keep coming back. Her alpha males fight hard and love even harder. And one thing you can expect is when they fall, it is so hard that they will do anything they can for the women they love. And her heroines are always kick ass and you will always find yourself rooting for them. This brand spanking new series by her is definitely one you don't want to miss. Be prepared to swoon, hard.
I loved this book. It was a fast read that I devoured in one sitting. From the first page, I was sucked in and couldn't put it down until the end, knowing they got their happy ending. This book was sexy, sweet, fun, intense, passionate, and had a sweet love story wrapped with suspense and tons of twists. This was a great addition to this series and I can't wait for the next book. It's sure to be epic. Get ready for Cam and Miriam... because Cam is a man that will make you swoon and fall hard.

WOW this series is great. The Saints have some crazy missions and Cam's is crazy and scary !! Again we have crossovers from the other series which is great , not only does that give us more hotness working together we also get to catch up with the couples to see where they are in life. This book gives us the journey of Cam and Miriam as they face the Mexican drug cartels trying to get free and find their way back home. The last thing they expect is to find love , Miriam doesn't even think she is going to make it home , nevermind fall for her savior !!
Cam had it rough growing up and thankfully he took the advice of someone special one night and changed the whole course of his life. His latest mission has him going undercover in Mexico to rescue Jobe's sister who has been there working for the Red Cross as a nurse. There was major need for nurses and Miriam chose to leave home and go help save lives , much to her families disapproval. When she goes off the grid they have no choice but to reach out and pool together resources between Alvarez and Saints. From the moment Cam sees her picture he is smitten. Miriam Delaro a nurse wanted to help those in need. So when the chance came to help earthquake victims in Mexico she jumped at the chance. Being kidnapped by a cartel wasn't in her plans. She knew when her brother Jobe found out what happened to her, he wouldn't let nothing stand in the way of rescuing her. Cam Perez was headed down the wrong path in his life. When a priest sets him on the right road, Cam straightens his life out and is now working for Jack at Saints Protection and Investigations. When Jobe goes to Jack for help, Jack has the perfect person. Cam has experience with undercover work and can speak the language. What Cam didn't plan on was the attraction he would feel for Miriam as they were trying to escape from Mexico.
This was definitely a sit on the edge of your seat suspense novel. The romance almost takes a back seat to it. Cam and Miriam were both strong characters and the sparks between them flew from the first meeting. Being on the run leaves no time for romance. Yet it does leave time to get to know one another and build from there. I think between the suspense and the slow build romance makes the book all that much better. This is the second book I've read by Maryann Jordan, and it happens to be the second book in her Saints Protection Series. And she is quickly becoming my "go-to-read author for adventure." Maryann's series follows the members of an elite protection agency - all ex-military or government agency - working "outside" the normal channels.
This book centers on sending one of their members, Cam, undercover on a search and rescue mission to locate and recover the sister of friend. As a nurse working with the Red Cross in Mexico, Miriam, had no idea that her skills as a nurse would considered a valuable commodity to a drug kingpin. Now she's trapped and praying that somehow her brother will come and save her.
Cam has to try and get her and escape through a hurricane force storm. This book was full of heart-stopping thrills and sexual steam. Cam was not only an Alpha character but a gentle giant as well. I could not put this book down until the very end.
I've always loved reading Kat Martin's books for their adventure and excitement, but I think I've found a new author that is just as good. 5-stars for Maryann Jordan's Healing Love.

I absolutely adore Maryann's books. This one was no different. The alpha males are just yum! The strong females balance them so completely. The suspense, action, and hot steamy romance makes you hold onto to the seat of your pants and pray they don't get too wet. If you like suspense and action packed romance novels, I highly implore you to give Maryann Jordan a chance!

I loved this book!!! An exciting adventure filled romance with danger at every turn. I enjoyed revisiting the members of Saints Protection & Investigation and really look forward to reading more stories in this series.

I just love Cam and Miriam's story. Cam is sent to rescue Miriam in Mexico. She is a Red Cross Nurse and was kidnapped to help the drug cartel with their injured people. Cam is sent into Mexico to find her and bring her home. She is his bosses friend's sister. Along the way we get to follow their adventure trying to escape and a love blooming through the danger they are in. Will they make it out, if they do is there a chance for them to be together? This story had me hooked from the start. I loved their adventure and couldn't wait to read what would happen. I loved these characters, Miriam is so giving, helping those who needed here help even when she was a captive herself. Cam, a strong alpha male, who has a good heart and wants to save those who need to be saved. This book is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone. 1. We have a problem with the word "cariña" because it doesn't exist. The word is "cariño" with an 'o' at the end. It doesn't matter if you're talking about a girl or a boy.
2. Hubo también otras palabras en español mal escritas o mal usadas pero la anterior me molestó particularmente porque Cam la repite tooodo el tiempo. Creo que estas cuestiones deben revisarse antes de publicar un libro.
3. La trama es muy buena, en especial al principio. Todo el cambio de escenario, la huida, el acercamiento entre ellos... Muy lindo. Me encantó y me pareció muy original. La segunda parte cae un poco y de repente lo único que encontrás es sexo pero bueno...
4. Creo que hubo algunos aspectos que se podrían haber explotado más pero, en general, me gustó.
5. El resto de los santos promete, así que seguiré la serie.

This is the second book in this phenomenal series and it definitely didn't disappoint. In this one Cam is asked to rescue Jobes sister Miriam, who is a Red Cross nurse and has been kidnapped. As these two deal with trying to outrun the drug cartel that are after them and stay alive, they develop feelings for each other. I love how Maryann in developing her characters make them so dynamic and multifaceted, the men are alpha and strong, but love with all their heart and soul and the women are independent and caring, yet except the men and take them as they are. I love this series and can't wait to see who falls in love next under difficult circumstances.

They really do keep getting better and better. Cam Perez is a perfect match for the new mission in Saints. He is ready to do his mission. He finds out that his mission and his heart go out on the line this time. I loved the pull between Cam and Miriam. The protectiveness that Cam shows her is instantly felt through the words. Miriam is a sister of an Alpha male so she knows she needs too stay strong to get through the mess that she landed in and Cam is her strength when she needs it. Their growth together is felt on each page. Will they escape the hell their in? Read it to find out. Highly recommended romantic suspense.

Another awesome book by Maryann
This is another awesome book by Maryann. Love the security company books and how the men in these agencies beat the bad guys. Cam was rough growing up but changed his ways. He seems so rough also because of his previous jobs. Miriam is such a sweet lady. She is also sister to one of the guys in the Alvarez agency. She is a nurse who goes to Mexico for a change. She ends up being his person he needs to rescue. It is a rough rescue but through all the troubles they have getting to safety things are scary and interesting. They are so wonderful together through all the ups and downs in this book. Love also how she combines some of the characters from her previous books.
