About the author

André Jobin, known as Job, was a Swiss francophone comics creator. He is probably best known for his western children's comics series Yakari, for which he wrote the scripts from 1973 until 2016.

Yakarin poni Pieni Ukkonen kuulee hevoshengen (tai jonkin sellaisen) kutsun ja etsimään itseään (tai jotain sellaista) joutuen kohtaamaan neljä toinen toistaan hurjempaa koettelemusta. Sarjakuva on loisteliaasti piirretty, mutta tarina ei ihan vakuuta.

This is the other Yakari that Cinebook delayed (6->12) in their publishing chronology but I don't have any ideas about why this time...

Dit album gaat eigenlijk meer over Kleine Bliksem dan over Yakari, en heeft net als 'Yakari en de witte bizon' een vreemd darwinistische inslag - wanneer Kleine Bliksem door de geest van het paardenvolk opgeroepen wordt tot zware proeven, waarbij weldegelijk slachtoffers vallen. Een spannend album dus, met een onaangename ondertoon.

Urocze i dla luzu, choć są emocje

Aunque este es solo un libro para niños, se toma su tiempo para enseñar lecciones fuertes a su audiencia y los prepara para ciertas verdades de la vida. La supervivencia del mas fuerte, lo que uno tiene que pasar al crecer y como resolver problemas. Eso sin contar una ultima lección que no quiero arruinar para el que no haya leído la historia. El libro se trató mas del caballo que de Yakari, pero desarrollar a un personaje secundario a veces es necesario para sentir mas la intensidad y lo necesario de su presencia.

En el departamento visual, Yakari nunca decepciona. El dibujante parece que trata cada panel como a un hijo y le da el tiempo y el detalle necesario para detenerse a admirar cada uno de ellos. Desde el mas grande hasta el mas pequeño, cada viñeta tiene su protagonismo y cada una se siente unica en cuanto al sentimiento que quieren proyectar. Me gustó especialmente el uso de colores en cada una de los diferentes efector climáticos.
