Nice book. Nothing special. Everything in there and much much more already available online for free. But here you pay for the paper.

Good to get a good overall grasp of bash.

Some mixed feelings, it's a quite relaxing book to read. First half mainly covers bash, and I was convinced the second half is diving in different topics (sed, awk, perl and python). Needless to say that a mere thirty pages per topic is way too little to cover some ground. However it takes courage to actually devote chapters to some of these languages who are getting more extinct by the day.
