The 2008 Global Financial Crisis is looming, a time of losses for some in Rosetta’s circle, and the odd astonishing gain. Via the path of mystery, reversals in fortunes and romantic love, Rosetta and her book club unwittingly get involved in a quest for The Silvering: an epoch rumoured to begin in 2022. The world's concept of worth, however, is keeping alive a ...more

Sparkles like a gem.
Events in the 18th-century life of a novelist named Lillibridge are discovered by Matthew (and revealed to Rosetta's worldwide book study groups) in the form of four delightfully olde worlde letters Lillibridge writes to his sister. Mysteries unfold, romance blossoms and a fairy tale set in ancient Norway gains revelance as it melds with its modern-day readers.
I dipped and soared through the second book in the EPIPHANY series – laughed out loud in some scenes, and in others,

Epiphany – The Silvering is the conclusion to the book-within-a-book story that began with The Golding where Rosetta’s reading group continues to read Edward Lillibridge’s Georgian-era book. Let me say this first about the book. Some series don’t require a reader to read the first book in the series in order to enjoy the other ones in the series. The Silvering is NOT one of those books. You need to read The Golding first – and then The Silvering for two reasons: first, because The Silvering is a ...more

Suspenseful, exciting and intriguing with plenty of surprising twists, a coming-together of the strands laid down (in EPIPHANY - The Golding) that culminates in a spectacular conclusion. I felt sad when it ended - didn't want to say goodbye to the characters and wanted to read more. The book club theme throughout has inspired me to start a book club of my own, centered specifically around EPIPHANY, to get to know the characters better and keep them alive. I couldn't have predicted any of the ...more

Epiphany- The Silvering- The Magic Continues
I had greatly enjoyed the first sequel of the novel and so eagerly grabbed this new one. I am amazed by Sonya Deanna Terry's gift as a writer for she does not repeat her writing style but has presented fresh format in her story. The first part of the novel almost oscillates between the dream sphere and the letters in which the characters reveal a number of things- both of their personality and of their life. This also makes the story move at a fast

EPIPHANY - The Silvering, by Sonya Deanna Terry, is the second story in this series. Having read the first one and thoroughly enjoying it, I just had to pick up this one as soon as I saw it was released. I absolutely ADORE this author and her writing style, so I knew I wouldn't be disappointed by this one and I wasn't.

The first book in this series is mostly mystery/fantasy based. It is about a tarot card reader who is also reading a story from the 70s. Both stories collide, which I found

"Long live the Currency of Kindness!"

I found Epiphany - The Silvering to be a stunning sequel to Epiphany - The Golding. The mysteries are solved and the threads of the plot and sub-plots dexterously unravelled - but it keeps you guessing till the end. It is a tale of redemption both on an individual level and on a much grander scale.

It is an imaginative, beautifully crafted insight into the way the materialistic world has become and the intriguing efforts of those in this and other dimensions

EPIPHANY - The Silvering: The story-within-the-story continues by Sonya Deanna Terry is a 483 page fantasy. It includes a character list, nineteen chapters and acknowledgements. I was a fan of book one and this sequel is everything I had hoped it would be and more. It is terrific. I also love the book covers too.
The reading-group members continue their investigation of the ancient text. Just as the sub-title implies, this is a story-within-a-story. The layered plot is clever, and unfolds nicely

`Who looks outside, dreams. Who looks inside, awakens.' - Carl Jung

Australian author Sonya Deanna Terry made her literary debut with EPIPHANY - THE GOLDING and trying to find how this obviously very gifted writer arrived at such an auspicious introduction we find only that she is `a former Canberra resident, a communications student, novelist, gelato connoisseur, future time-traveler, and adorer of all things adorable and a rabid theatre-goer.' So we must assume this young and gifted Australian

I found the author's writing to be highly polished in this second installment, and while the first book was good, I feel like her voice is properly honed and her creative thrusters were on full blast. This was a riveting adventure from start to finish, and with such an intricate and overlapping plot, it was impossible to get distracted. You had to fully engage with the story to understand what was going on...in other words, there wasn't much wasted text, which is something I appreciate, ...more

This picked up right where the first book in the series left off, and while I had been waiting to see how that cliffhanger would eventually resolve itself, I had faith that Terry would make it worth my while. I wasn't disappointed, and we see another fascinating tale unravel with Rosetta, Izzie, Glorion, and a cast of other enchanting characters in the midst of two very different worlds. The secrets and slowly revealed plot lines make this a pleasant journey right along with the characters, and ...more
