I'm 64 years old and realized recently that while I had read a lot of books around the topic called the "Roswell, NM event", I had never really read someone's full account of it. I've heard pieces of it mentioned in various podcasts, but I wanted a deeper dive, something to read where I could think about it as I went along unpacking it in chronological order.
My library had the book, The Children of Roswell, and I figured that would suffice as a first-hand account with which to begin. I appreciate the author's pointed footnotes and Bibliography, and where they explicitly stated they were talking to a first-hand source, or when the person was second-hand only.
I also appreciate these authors and the many years they have delved into the event and this obvious cover-up. It is refreshing to read someone who isn't re-telling this event's history just to get their names in the lime-light or make a buck, but who really have invested in relationships with many of the first hand people, as a far as they could in our modern era.
Their book is easy to read. I think they did a good job hunting down seemingly meaningless clues and coming up with great proofs. I appreciate how they wrote to let the reader decide his own opinion.
Why don't more people talk about this event? Scared of it perhaps, or scared that their theology isn't able to answer questions about this. (Have to mention that mine does actually. See Genesis 6) Why are the governments of the world so obviously hiding things from each other and their own citizens? Somehow it's always the same answer, they want more 'power' than the other guy. Surely disclosure is going to happen one way or another and we are simply moving closer to that day.
Get foundation level facts straight with this book, so that on the day of disclosure you'll have the 1947 background from which to draw. I'm sure there are "newer" books on this topic but I enjoyed the perspective of this 2016 copyright date.

I love the research of Don Schmitt. Unfortunately every Beavis has a Butthead and in this case, the Butthead is Tom Carey. Why oh why does Don have this man contribute? He is a terrible writer and investigator. Tom is more of a Bigfoot/loch ness monster chaser. He doesn't bring the hardnose research a case like this deserves. Trying to move Rowswell into the next generation should be left to the professionals. An okay read but I fear the subject is dead.

These were interesting first hand accounts of the aftermath of Roswell’s incident. Although the authors attempted to uncover the truth through interviews and research, many questions remain unanswered, leaving readers wondering if we will ever know what really happened in Roswell in 1947.

Unfortunately, nothing concrete was produced in this book that sways me anymore one way or the other. Sometimes the chapters were confusing. I don't doubt that something happened to the people interviewed.....unfortunately we will never know the truth. Nice try.

The book is good, it is well written, however, it is too similar to Cover Up at Roswell, I doubt it is worth having both unless one is researching the subject deeply

Sort of mishmashed together.. was hard to keep up because of that at moments. 🤷🏻♀️

I recommend this book. Providing the stories of the children of the participants of the Roswell Incident is a good idea.

Well, as UFO books go, this was fascinating. The focus was on the families of first responders and the harassment and threats from the Army and other Government officials. Many lives were ruined and the fear of speaking, true or otherwise, about the Roswell crash, holds even until this day through the "children".

I can see why this was a kindle edition. It wouldn't be worth printing on paper. Re-hashed melodrama from an armchair researcher. Tom Carey is beating a dead horse with Roswell. It's a dead case but he's trying deperately to keep the mythology alive.
