Utterly reliable and delicious puddings. This book really is an esssential on any keen cooks bookshelf.
I made "Ginger Syrup Sponge" (pg 22) for supper last night, "A moist ginger pudding with a soft syrup topping". My husband declared it the lightest, fluffiest, most delicious steamed pudding he had ever tasted! But then I know that he's very partial to a number of the recipes in this book.
--> Update 02 Feb 2012: Figgy Pudding, (pg 79) made with 8oz semi-dried figs, for supper this evening, is another winner. Perfect in the current cold snap.
