"I'm going to show you I everything," big brother says proudly to his tiny new sibling. And recalling his own, not very distant experiences, he is the perfect guide to the wonders and discoveries of a child's first year. A warm and loving picture book.
We have a two year old granddaughter from my younger son. This week my oldest son has a brand new baby boy. The granddaughter and I read a cool picture book called, Big Like Me. The baby grows on every page from January to the first birthday in the next January. The toddler shows him how to do everything from cuddles to hide and seek. Now Daisy is singing, "Happy Birthday to Gavin" and swearing the baby on the front is "Austin and Trisha's baby." The delightful thing to me is that I bought the book when my oldest was a year old and my youngest was a newborn and it was such an accurate predictor of how the next twelve months would go between the brothers.

Very old book, but I actually really liked it. It's an older sibling guiding a new baby through life as they grow up. Super cute, positive sibling relationship, while still emphasizing that it's cool to be a big sibling and that babies can't do everything with you yet.
