Telling photographs of the authors say much more than the prosaic biographical sketches. A "Southern writer", by author/photographer Morrow's definition, is a writer who was spent his or her formative years in the South and "uses Southern characters and settings in his/her books or has strong fictional Southern ties to his/her characters."
