Sir Princess Petra has already attained her knighthood in the Kingdom of Pen Pieyu and her non-princess-like talent certificate from Talent School, neither of which pleases her father and mother, the king and queen. The king writes up more silly rules in the royal rule book to deter Sir Princess Petra from her knightly ways and useless talent, and turn her into a real prin ...more

Synopsis- Our favorite female knight, Sir Princess Petra is back on another mission! Her father, King Longstride, is determined to make Petra fail at a mission so she will not be a Princess Knight anymore, and just a Princess. This time, Petra has only two days to venture into the unexplored land of the of the Boogy Gobees, and capture the first car-panther she finds. I enjoyed Sir Princess Petra’s Mission in so many ways that I think a list is in order:

Originality: This book is simply a breath of fresh air; a completely new take on the princess story.
Lively Characters: Petra is a contemporary heroine stuck in a traditional role and a strong leading lady. Snarls the dragon and Bograt the bog witch are just two of the colorful supporting characters in the series.

Language: Lots of zany antics and silly wordplay will keep young readers highly entertained through

I received a free ecopy of this book for an honest review.

I had read the second book in the Pen Pieyu Adventures, Sir Princess Petra’s Talent, and enjoyed reading about Sir Princess Petra’s adventures so I was happy to read Sir Princess Petra’s Mission to see what other adventures she would find. At the beginning of the book, a synopsis of the first two books is given so even if you don’t read them, you’ll still know what is going on.

This time, her father sends her on a mission and if she fails

Parents and children alike will thank Diane Mae Robinson for this delightful tale of a tomboy princess who insists on being a Knight. Ms. Robinson’s wit and skilled art makes this an entertaining read, even for adults. While Petra’s father, the King, keeps rewriting the Royal Rule book in an effort to de-Knight her, Princess Petra rises to meet every challenge. In this book, she must capture an elusive car-panther in an unexplored forest. Do car-panthers even exist? Princess Petra, Snarls the dr ...more

The author’s word play will delight both young and old readers in book 3 of this charming series. Silly new rules send Sir Princess Petra on a mission, accompanied by her entourage. Snarls continues as her loyal dragon BFF and their antics will without a doubt entertain. The Kingdom of Pen Pieyu’s princess gains pride from doing what is right and noble and wins the day while teaching a moral lesson. Fun, full page, black and white illustrations are included in each chapter and help early readers ...more

Robinson has created the perfect children's book series... Her heroine is young and wise. She takes on her insane missions with positivity and determination. Petra is a good example to all children - teaching honor, friendship and respect. She has fun yet accomplishes her missions! She is knowledgable and brave.

The third book did not fail to entertain even me, imagine what it will do for the imaginations of a the children. Excellent writing, excellent adventure... I will and do highly recommend

The third in a fantasy series about girl empowerment, Sir Princess Petra’s Mission by Diane Robinson reveals what’s most important life. Sometimes that isn’t even being a knight, even if that’s always been your dream, but instead it’s about doing what’s right and honorable. Readers familiar with the tales will be happy to hear that Bograts the Bog Witch and Snarls the Dragon are still with Petra. And for those new to the series, this chapter book has many positive qualities such as brevity and h ...more

This is a tale, or rather, a fairy tale, about courage, dignity, honesty and self-esteem. This is also a story for children and parents who want to learn how better to grow up their children. I am discussing about Sir Princess Petra’s Mission , the third book by awarded Canadian author Diane Mae Robinson. This work is included in the series titled The Pen Pieyu Adventures. The plot of this new story keeps the same high levels of the previous ones, even though here it is enriched with quirky and ...more

Sir Princess Petra's Mission: The Pen Pieyu Adventures, Book 3 is an epic fantasy and adventure novel for children written by Diane Mae Robinson and illustrated by Michael Bermundo. When Princess Petra is summoned to the royal throne room to appear before her father, the King, she quickly got the idea that the newly enlarged Royal Rule Book and the grin on her father's face meant she had trouble. Indeed, there was a new royal seal-of-approval

Petra is no ordinary princess. She doesn't like normal princess things, and she doesn't like to do what typical princesses do. Petra has earned knighthood by taming Snarls the dragon, who is actually very friendly.

Now her father, the king, is trying to force her to give up her knighthood and become a normal princess. He orders her to go on a mission to capture a car-panther in the land of the Boogy Gobees. If she does not complete the mission, her knighthood will be taken away and she will be fo

I did read the first two books in the series and enjoyed them thoroughly. But even if one doesn't have the chance to grab the rest of the series first, they'll still have no trouble getting into this story. The author was kind enough to put a quick summary of each of the other books in before this one begins. There's also a cute map in the beginning to help the reader get a feel for Sir Princess Petra's world.

This is a beautiful book for children. One of the key things I look for in a book is what I stand to gain. I ask myself what the book is all about. Why should my child read this book? What does he or she stand to gain be reading it? I believe when we think about issues like this, it would guide us in purchasing the right book for our children.

If you followed this book from the first series, it is a book about a princess that desires to be more than who she is meant to be. She desired to be a kni

There is a statement in this book that speaks of pure wisdom! Let me just give a little summary of what happened. The king had just made a new rule which was aimed at preventing his daughter from continuing his duty as the only princess Knight in the Kingdom. The new rule sealed by him was totally unfair to his daughter, but as the king, he could do as he wishes, even make new rules. The daughter (Petra) didn’t like what her father had done one bit, and to crown it all, the king insists on the n ...more

Having obtained her knighthood at the age of nine, despite her father’s strenuous objections, Sir Princess Petra of the Kingdom of Pan Pieyu is still not out of the woods.
