One more Graves book i have, and actually one of the first painting books i ever got.
Very well laid out, breaks out the head in pieces and takes on typical problems of shading the facial features. Really helped me and still does to this day, simple things like the darkest line of reflected color deep within the creases of top and bottom lip coming together, the off color of the eye, the darkening planes under the bottom lip and dark holey regions at the edges of the mouth, lots of good stuff. (he talks about it way better than i ever could), well worth a look and i think well worth a buy.
See what you think, his color section is also pretty well thought out.
