Rage Ryders MC #2
Taken by Rage: Rage Ryders MC
This is Riley and Kid’s story, it is a story of growth, trials and trust.
Kid : Learning there was a shooting at the clubhouse, and one of their girls was injured, Kid and the guys rush to the hospital. Once again Kid is thrown into unknown territory when he has to face his new found feelings of love and fear. He vows to never let his baby doll be left with incompetent idiots again. Coming home to find out he needed to get to the hospital left a gaping wound in his soul that he thought may never heal. Once he set eyes on her he knew there had still been a small barricade holding his heart hostage from being hers completely. It was now in her hands and hers alone.
Once home Riley moves on letting the tragic incident go. She wants to start living and stop hiding from her own shadows. Riley becomes a strong woman coming into her own, learning how to listen to her instincts and trusting her man and those around her to protect her, and not try to prove herself worthy to everyone. Riley always thought of herself as a lover and not a fighter. After being shot and left bleeding on the floor by a ‘rat’ she will never let her guard down again. Her fighting instincts have taken effect. She truly learns to love herself. Within finding herself she hopes to help a new friend, and a brother find their will and way back to each other. Match making is on her agenda.

Liberty Parker
168 books627 followersI have been an avid reader for most of my life. When I was younger I used to sit and fill spiral notebooks full of stories. As I got older, I took the jobs needed for raising my boys as a single mom, until I met my now amazing husband. I have stopped working in the last three years and started promoting authors, then I blogged and reviewed for authors, which lead me down the path to writing and creating characters and stories. I love creating behind the scenes with my writing getting to use my imagination and write the story as it comes to me. My youngest is now a senior in High School leaving me with some spare time on my hands to be filled. I am loving the people I am meeting and the support system I have found. The emotional hit in this one lands with the same energy as a clubhouse door slamming because someone breathed near it — one bang, one curse, and suddenly Kid and Rylie’s entire emotional stability is scattered across the floor like spilled whiskey and bad decisions.
And yes, sweetheart, let’s get this out of the way:
This is still early‑career Liberty Parker.
The writing?
Chaotic.
Wobbly.
Occasionally looks like it sprinted off without checking if the plot was following.
BUT — and this is important — it’s better than book one, and you can see her levelling up.
Her newer books?
A whole different universe.
So if you go in knowing this is her baby‑steps era, the story hits way smoother.
Now let’s talk about Kid, because this man is having a full emotional meltdown in real time.
Kid hears there’s been a shooting at the clubhouse and one of their girls is down, and he loses his entire mind.
He’s sprinting to the hospital like the building personally offended him.
He’s panicking.
He’s spiralling.
He’s having feelings he absolutely did NOT sign up for.
And when he sees Rylie hurt?
Oh babe, he snaps.
Not the “I’m a tough biker” snap — the “my heart is hers and I’m going to pretend I’m chill about it” snap.
He vows — loudly, dramatically, and with the emotional stability of a man who has slept maybe four minutes — that he will never let her be left with incompetent idiots again.
Which brings me to my favourite rant:
WHY are these men STILL leaving the girls uncovered when they KNOW danger is coming?
Sweetheart, it’s book two.
We’ve been over this.
If you KNOW trouble is brewing, you don’t leave your women alone like they’re decorative throw pillows.
It’s MC logic.
It’s basic survival.
It’s common sense.
And yet… here we are.
Again.
Rylie, though?
She’s done being the girl who gets knocked down.
She’s been shot.
She’s been left bleeding.
She’s been betrayed.
And she decides she’s done hiding from her own shadows.
She steps up.
She sharpens her instincts.
She learns to trust Kid, trust herself, trust the people around her.
She becomes a fighter — not because she wants to, but because life shoved her into the ring and said, “Swing, babe.”
And she doesn’t just rebuild herself — she tries to rebuild others.
She plays matchmaker.
She tries to help a friend and a brother find their way back to each other.
She becomes the emotional glue in a world that keeps trying to fall apart.
Kid’s arc?
Messy.
Protective.
Emotionally chaotic in the most MC‑appropriate way.
He goes from “I don’t do relationships” to “I will burn the world down for her” faster than you can say bad decisions in leather.
Rylie’s arc?
Raw.
Strong.
A full transformation from scared girl to woman who refuses to be anyone’s victim ever again.
The story?
Still messy in execution.
Still occasionally clunky.
Still clearly early‑career writing.
But the heart of it?
Good.
Emotional.
Worth reading — especially if you know how much stronger the author becomes later.
A solid 3‑star continuation — imperfect writing, improved storytelling, and a heroine who finally steps into her own power while her man learns what real love actually costs.

“Taken by Rage”
Author: Liberty Parker
Review: Che Davis
Grab a comfortable spot, and don’t forget the fan because you’ll get hot reading “Taken by Rage” written by Liberty Parker. Taken by Rage is a MC Romance, and does have explicit sex scenes, and some violence. However, that being said it is a continuing story of a ‘family’ a family of loyal, loving, honor code bound bikers. You won’t be sorry you took another road trip with this great group of Alpha Males and their Alpha women.
Taken by Rage is about Riley & Kid’s continued life together, of how they come in to their own individually, as a couple, and a vital part of a large biker family. Wasp & Ashton struggle to find their balance as their family and children play out their life with the forces that work against them. Ryder & Skylar, Tumbler & Sadie are right there in the heart of the matter. There are so many awesome people that fill this great story line.
Overall I continued to fall more in love/lust with this amazing family of bikers who want to stay away from the ‘wrong’ side of the law but are more than ready and willing to go below it, above it, around it, or plow straight through every boundary to get back and protect their own.
This group has to fight for their way of life, their family, their brothers and sisters, and they do it in the ‘biker style’ we all love and have the hidden fantasy of being part of. Liberty Parker gives us the opportunity for us to have our fantasy in her writing.
The characters are real, with several larger than life Alpha Men like Wasp, King, Tic, Kid, Ryder and Tumbler. These men have chosen, some of them unwillingly which makes it so much better, amazing women like Ashton, Riley, Skylar, Sadie, and Kori. These women will go to any length to protect their men and their family.
If you know anything about MC’s then you know there is always conflict with other gangs, and some are nasty nasty and want to destroy the stronger gangs. That’s the heart of this MC gang. The rival gangs want what isn’t theirs and do whatever it takes to seek revenge.
In Taken by Rage, even though he wasn’t actually the lead character I think my favorite is Tic. Of course I’ve always been drawn to the ‘wounded warrior Alpha’. I was taken by him and his lonely heart that is so filled with love for one woman.
Once again Liberty Parker pulled me in to her story of men and women learning to accept, and grow away from the abuse they’ve suffered. Liberty shows, easily with her depth of understanding and compassion, how people grow from victim to survivor. It was easy for me to relate to them.
My favorite part of the book was watching Kid & Riley find their base individually and as a couple.
Becoming familiar with the authors way of writing I found it easier to keep up with the changing points of view. If I had to have a least favorite spot in this story it would have to be my need to know what happens next. Which actually is a good thing because I will keep on reading the continued saga of the Rage family.
There is actually nothing I would change in this book.
I will surely be recommending this book, and by the way I already have. All lovers of action packed, full of fun loving, and serious love making characters will love this book.

While reader other reviews I wonder if we read the same book? There were so many grammar errors and I just couldn't get past how juvenile they seemed. I wondered for a MC where their man cards were.
In the synopsis it claims that Riley finally becomes this strong woman? I kept waiting for it but I never saw the growth in this character.
I didn't find situations believable, when the MC went to exact revenge things went to smoothly. It was like the enemy just surrendered without a fight.
Was there any conclusion as to what is going on with Cassidy? Is that coming up in a future book?
In the last book Riley's mom's name was Ashton and in this one it was Ashlynn? You need to make sure that you are using the same names throughout a series.

This is the second book in this series. I absolutely loved this one just as much as the first one. This one is about Riley and Kid. It was gripping from the very beginning . It gets your attention and has you holding on the edge of your seat waiting to see what is going to happen. I love Kid and Riley together. They have such a great amazing chemistry. This couple is just so hard core and lovable. Riley is strong no matter what is thrown at her. Kid is caring and is there for Riley no matter what. They have such a strong bond. Just absolutely loved this book. I cant wait until i get to read the next ones in this series. Absolutely well written.HIghly recommend

This picks up from the cliff hanger in Taken by Lies. Kid and his brothers learn Riley has been shot and Cassidy was taken by Muscles.
While at the hospital Kid sees a missing member of the club family, one of his brother's ol lady.
Once the problem with Muscles is taken care of life seems to calm down. Kid inlists the help of others for a surprise for Riley. Riley has her own surprise for not just Kid but yhe family as well.
What are the surprises Kid and Riley have? Who is the brother and his ol lady? You will have to read to find out.
I suggest to read the first book of the series before reading this one. 5 star read

MC love
Taken by Rage is book two in the Rage Ryders MC series. In this book you really get a more in depth story that focuses on primarily Kid and Riley's story.
After having read the first on I couldn't not buy this one. This is a story of true love, devotion, family, and the things you'll do to protect those around you.
Keeping you attached to your book till the very end and checking to see if there's more Liberty Parker has given the reading world not just another amazing MC series, but something that makes you feel like you truly know the characters and that they're really part of your life.
I cant wait to read the next one!

An exciting MC romance read
Riley, a gal who just cannot catch a break, and Kid, patched member of Rage Ryders MC and Prez’s son, have not had an easy start to their relationship. As the story progresses they both need to recover from the events at the end of Taken by Lies, a stronger bond is formed, and if they cannot out the past to rest there may be no future for them. Liberty Parker’s Taken by Rage wrapped up part of the story line left hanging from book one, but left enough still dangling to continue the series with ease. I would love to read more about all the club brothers and sisters mentioned in the book. This was an exciting MC romance read with plenty darkness and light.

This is the continuation of Riley and Kid’s story from Taken by Lies and it should be read first so that you have their history.
When Riley is injured Kid realizes what how much he loves her and how far he is willing to go to protect her. The suspense and twists keep coming as they search for Cassidy and a missing member reappears but what other surprises are yet to be revealed?
I have loved seeing how Kid finally accepted what Riley meant to him and how confident and strong Kid’s love made Riley. I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

I really liked this story! This is the story of Kid and Riley. It is a story of heart ache and sorrow but also one of resilience and love. What these two go through to be together is a testament of their wills. Staying together is a testament of their love. I like how the characters put family first and fight to make things right among that family!! This story has a little bit of crazy and a whole lotta of hot sex! Great series!!

Brilliant
I loved this book. I was pulled in right from the get go, watching the story play out in my head as I was reading the book.
I had mixed emotions with the story and found myself laughing a fair few times, not sure if I was meant to.
Liberty Parker has written one hell of a story, if you haven't read her books you should give them a go, I personally don't think you will regret it. So worth the 5 stars I have given it.

Taken by Rage: Rage Ryders MC (2)
Wow!!! I really can't get enough of Liberty Parker's writing, she has a style of her own. Strong characters, lots of action, dam good story plus, an ongoing storyline, and a way of writing that can bring you to tears, or laughing out loud. How have I not read this author before???? 3 more books to go in this series. Time to see if there are anymore of this author to add to my library

This continuation of the Rage Ryders Series brings Riley and Kid's story full circle. It will near rip your heart out in places and then put you back together wishing for an HEA. It also sheds light on the past and their future together. Touching on many of the characters that you fell in love with in the first book. It's a rough road but well worth the travel. Can't wait for the next book.

Good.
This was a good story and I’ll keep reading more of the series. I love that this second book revolved mostly around one couple but we still got insights into other characters. The one thing I didn’t like is that all of the characters sound the same. It’s like one voice coming from many people.

Oh Boy! This is getting juicier and juicier, as things progress the more things comes out, the more the club and family is in danger. This book is like a live soap opera, I'm on the edge of my seat and feeling anxious on what's going to happen next, omg why did I wait to read this series for so long?!?!

Great read
It was nice to get some one I o e time with Kid and Riley. Getting to see them grew up and become a solid couple is refreshing. This book is well written, it kept my attention and drew me further into the folds of this family. I can't wait to see what's next.
