The quintessential biography on the great boxer Jack Dempsey. Written by an author who knew him personally.

One of the few sports books that does a good job weaving the political/social issues of the time into the athlete's story. Great blow-by-blow descriptions of Dempsey's title fights. Deducting one star because there is very little about Dempsey's life after retirement.
