Raised in elegance, sent to the best boarding schools money could buy, Liberty Bouvier finds herself a bargaining chip to keep her father out of debtor’s prison. Married off to a complete stranger, her father's despicable business partner, Libby is released from her commitment by his untimely death. Cut entirely out of her murdered husband’s will except for an unknown property in California, Liberty Bouvier is faced with the unknown.
It is a Christian book, but not sappy! Liberty is a educated privileged young woman forced into a marriage at 16 by her evil father. The father needs his huge debts paid off and the payment is Liberty. Liberty husband is wealthy, evil and mean. She is in a terrible marriage, but no way out. Her husband in killed. Liberty inherits a small property in northern California. Her evil father inherits the money and wealth.
Very well written. I felt so much peace while reading and the reminders to give God all the glory are always do welcome and important. Thank you for this book.
The whole storyline of the book seemed to end in the middle of the book, but then there was like a two parter of it. I loved the plot twists in the book, though. Lots of tie ins.
