A good basic introduction to world history. Giving the most basic information needed to understand all of world history, not just that of Western Europe and the USA, which is all many people including myself learned about when we took "World History" in high school or college. Arranged chronologically and by area, I'd recommend it to anyone wanting a basic understanding of world history.

Offers an excellent overview of world history, includes in depth discourse on Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and the Americas. Great for brushing up on your facts or studying for a class. I'm a history freak, so I completely devoured this book with a highlighter and pencil, and it has proven to be very helpful with other more complex history literature.
