I read these many years ago. I loved the books right up until the very end. The ending was most disappointing to me. I thought the magic system in this world was fantastic. I loved the stories and plot lines...until the ending.

That being said, it is hard to go wrong with anything written by Margaret Weis.

The Darksword Trilogy is one of my favourite fantasy series. I'm not really a fan of the genre, but this book was introduced to me when I was young and I was quickly fascinated by the world, the characters and the story.

It is one of the few fantasy series I've come back to and each re-reading has been just as enjoyable as the first.

An excellent trilogy. It is rare to find the 2nd and 3rd book as good as the first. Character development continued as the books progressed. The actual story line was truly unique. I highly recommend these books.

A miraculous birth of a boy raised a peasant who turns out to be a king, but ends up a savior that changes the world. Plus some magic, etc., to keep it different.

One of the best stories I've ever read...and read again...and again.

These books had a few interesting ideas, but I wasn't impressed overall. It's just a mediocre story.
