The role of imagination in psychology, ethics and aesthetics provides a good analogy for thinking about the imagination in religious belief. in dealing with the inner lives of other human beings, moral values or aesthetic qualities we need to employ the to suppose, form hypotheses, empathize or imaginatively engage with alien people or worlds in order to understand. Just as we use the imagination to relate to other minds, appreciate beauty and understand goodness, we need imagination to engage with God's action in the world.

Heartwarming and soul-stirring from page to page! A story of the heart and one can read that Kathryn Le Veque poured her soul into the words!

Cassius de Wolfe is a phenomenal soldier who also happens to be an Adonis! He is a favorite of the ladies, but he is the Kings Great Protector! He needs to deliver a message and then it’s freedom for him to visit home!

Cassius has to speak with the Duke of Doncaster and relay the message. In doing so he crosses paths with the Dacia the daughter of the Duke. Dacia keeps her face covered because she has been told since she was a child that her freckles are the mark of the devil.

Cassius eventually sees her without the veil and he sees a beautiful woman and they both are magnetized instantly to each other.

The journey they take to be together is not without its ups and downs because of evilness of jealousy and pettiness.

I would definitely recommend this book!

Cassius de Wolfe, grandson of the great William de Wolfe, has made his name as the protector of the king. After three long years away from his family, Cassius if finally on his way home to the mighty de Wolfe clan. Before he can go home, he must stop at the home of one of the kings allies to deliver a message. This stop will set Cassius up for the meeting that will change his life.
Once Cassius meets Dacia of Doncaster, the only heir of the elderly Duke of Doncaster, he is smitten with the lady who has led a lonely life due to the prejudice of jealousy of others.
This is just the beginning of a story filled with adventure and romance, full of new characters, ending with a reunion of old beloved characters.
I read this book in 1 1/2 days and was left wishing it would not end. As usual Ms. Le Veque takes you back to midieval England and makes you feel like you are really there with her descriptive writing. Five stars on this one.

Cassius de Wolfe is the second son of Patrick de Wolfe and has found himself in the position of the Great Protector of Edward I. With this position, Cassius has not been home for at least two years and he desperately wants to visit his Grandmother Jordan and his father. On the way home, they find a village and stop for food and refreshments.
Dacia of Doncaster is an heiress with an exceptionally large fortune; but she is a woman that hides her beauty under veils over her face. Just because she has an overabundance of freckles, most men believe that she is ugly and unwanted. Her life is lonely and unwanted. Kathryn has provided us with a wonderful, interesting romance with the best cast of a noble knight, a loving young lady, and a superb cast of supporting characters. Another wonderful adventure and great read.
