This football book explores what makes Tom Brady great, and what we can learn from his hard work. In sports, you usually only remember the great ones and the players who were able to carry and reshape the entire sport because of how they dominated it individually as well as from a team standpoint. But while it is easy to point out the greatest players in many different sports because they are often judged using the same categories, football can be quite different. The Mt. Rushmore of greatness in the world of football can be a bit difficult to chisel not only because the sport has seen a lot of greats who have paved the way for the current generation to thrive, but also because different players play entirely different positions and styles. Nevertheless, there are still those who stand out, especially when it comes to the quarterback spot and to the way they led their teams to Super Bowls. When you are talking about the National Football League, there is arguably no one who is more accomplished than Tom Brady. You are talking about someone who has done and seen it all. This guy has won more than a handful of Super Bowls, been awarded the MVP, and made multiple Pro Bowls. Brady is on an entirely different level and what is more impressive is that he was able to do it consistently for a long time. With how popular Brady has become, he has reached heights of popularity no other football player has probably ever seen. Let us also throw in some major motion picture appearances, a few hit television shows like Saturday Night Live and Family Guy, and being considered by many as one of the faces of today’s NFL. One could even argue that he is actually the face of the entire history of the NFL with the way he has dominated the league consistently. Hope you liked this excerpt! Tom Brady By: Clayton Geoffreys Autobiography ⭐⭐⭐⭐ out of Five Stars
Summary: Tom Brady was born on August 3rd, 1977 in San Mateo, California. He was a young kid shooting for the moon with a professional baseball career in mind. Tom Brady was trying to continue the success that his sister’s had accomplished in their athletic careers. His sister’s were: Julie Brady, Maureen Brady, and Nancy Brady. Young Tom wanted to grow up to be the next big baseball star but once he got his hands on a football he never turned back from the game. He started playing at Junipero Serra High School. After his years there, he was offered to go play professional baseball, but turned it down to go play football at the University of Michigan. He started off his career at Michigan last on the depth chart, but slowly emerged as the #1 quarterback throughout the years. He then was drafted 199th overall in the 2000 NFL draft to the New England Patriots. He was the backup in his rookie season until the starter Drew Bledsoe had a terrible injury that kept him off the field for a while. Tom Brady won 3 super bowls in his early years with the Patriots against the Rams, Panthers, and Eagles. He then lost two super bowls against the Giants in 2007 (a season in which Tom went undefeated, until the super bowl) and in 2011. Tom then won a super bowl in 2014 against the Seattle Seahawks.
Opinion: I gave this book four stars because I am a diehard Patriots fan and I strongly aspire to be like Tom Brady someday. I think anyone who loves the sport of football would love this book because it describes every single important moment from the time he was born to where he is now. It also is very inspiring because it shows you that anybody can make it to the National Football League. This book showed me what it is like to get to the NFL and it helped me to understand how hard it was for brady to get to where he is now. I know a lot more about the New England Patriots star quarterback now that I read the book which gave me a different perspective on him.
This book is very inspiring to those who can have a little confidence booster. Tom Brady is known as the greatest of all time, and didn't start playing football until his freshman year in high school. Tom Brady was drafted with 199 pick. This means that his expectations were not very high. From there, he has won 6 super bowls is the best of all time.
I recommend this book to any football fan who wants to see reviews of Patriot games through the years. All the highlights and a (few) lowlights. The story of Tom Brady’s life. How he achieves excellence his way. Many valuable life lessons. A tribute to the greatest of all time!!!!
I really enjoy sports books and this one was no different. The best part was the subject, Tom Brady, the G.O.A.T. Although this book came out as he had been signed by the Tampa Bay Bucs, it didn’t cover the 2020 season. And since I live in the Tampa Bay Area, I’m ready for the 2021 season...!!!
The book was mostly just reporting statistics which I already knew. I was hoping to learn more about his overall motivation and how he developed his unusual attitude.
