I received a free copy of this box set from the author in exchange for an honest review.

The “Jamie Quinn Mystery Collection” is a set cozy mysteries, starring and narrated by Jamie Quinn, a reluctant lawyer. I can’t remember if I have ever read a cozy mystery before so I had no idea what to expect going into this. I knew, almost from the first paragraph, that I was going to bond with Jamie. I identified with her conversational story-telling style. It made me feel like I was right there with her,

Quick, easy to read, and engaging. These are fun reads with charming characters. I've read and enjoyed a few cozy mysteries lately, so when the author of this series asked me if I'd be interested in reviewing, I was all for it. I'm really happy to be introduced to Jamie Quinn, family lawyer. She's quite a detective and extremely devoted to her family, friends, and clients. She's very easy to relate to and likeable, like she'd be a fun person to drink a glass or two of wine with!

4☆ Easy to read, A fab trio of Cosy Mysteries!

This collection is a trio of books in one.
Death by Didgeridoo
The Case of the Killer Divorce and
Peril in the Park.
All featuring Jamie Quinn, Family Attorney.

All three books can be read as standalone books.
But to really get a feel for Jamie and her character it's best to read all 3 books.
There are characters that feature in a 3 books which is really nice as you get to see their characters develop.

Jamie is a great detective, she always finds herself in

I was lucky enough to be sent this set of three cosy mysteries by the author to read and review. The three novella length mysteries were well written and delightfully quick and easy to read. Each centred around a mystery involving family lawyer, Jamie Quinn.

In Murder by Didgeridoo Jamie's cousin stumbles into the murder scene of his music teacher and is accused of the murder when he is found there holding the murder weapon, the didgeridoo. Jamie, still recovering and grieving from the recent los

The “Jamie Quinn Mystery Collection Box Set” is a cozy mystery series with a touch of intrigue that begins with “Death by Didgeridoo” when family lawyer Jamie Quinn gets swept up in the murder of a former rock star and her cousin Adam Muller who has Asperger’s Syndrome is caught leaning over the body with blood on his hands. Having confessed to the murder, traumatized and plagued by nightmares, Jamie not only has to find a loophole to keep Adam out of prison but with the help of cocky and percep ...more

Overall, 3.5 stars rounded up to 4.

Bk 1: Death by Didgeridoo 3.5 stars

The main Character, Jamie Quinn is a lawyer that has practiced family law for the last ten years. Her Mom died six months ago and Jamie has not been practicing lately. She gets a desperate call from her aunt saying her cousin Adam has been accused of murder. The first person POV story follows from there with Jamie finally “waking up” and working to exonerate her cousin.

This novella is short but gives us a decent introduction t

This is a 3 book set of cosy mystery novellas. The main character is Jamie Quinn, a family lawyer. Each novella can be read as a stand alone, but as you read the series more information about Jamie's life, her family, friends etc., are revealed and intertwined into each storyline. Books #4 and #5 in the Jamie Quinn series are already published, so that is great because I will definitely continue to read the series.

The author describes each character well and there is humour, so you can have a g

Jamie Quinn Mystery Collection is a set of 3 mystery novellas: Death by Didgeridoo, The Case of the Killer Divorce, and Peril in the Park.

Thoughts:

The Mystery Collection box set includes 3 cozy mystery novellas introducing us to Jamie Quinn. The stories are written in first-person, which is typically not my preferred voice for books – this is 100% personal preference and not related to any author or their writing style. I say this knowing that some types of stories are perfect for 1st person and

This three book set is a cozy mystery series (my favorite type of book to read) featuring Jamie Quinn. Jamie is a practicing family attorney who seems to have a knack for helping family and friends who inevitably get themselves into trouble. All three are novellas which made me a bit skeptical. I have to admit I am not a fan. The stories are never given a chance to develop and often leave me disappointed. The first book was good. I definitely like Jamie Quinn. Barbara Venkataraman’s Jamie Quinn Mystery Collection: Box Set 1-3
(Kindle Edition) is a pleasure to read. Jamie is is a pip! We also appear to have much in common - a sense of humor (At least I have been told I have one, and Jamie surely does have one!) “I know if I didn’t (dress in casual office attire), my boss would fire me for being a slacker. Pretty embarrassing
as I was the boss.”, procrastination - in relation to completing work tasks - “It felt so good that

"I am," she says snobbishly, "a Romantic-Suspense reader." Well, I read a lot of cozy too, just don't tell my Romantic-Suspense Friends. One has to love the title of “Death by Didgeridoo,” by Barbara Venkataraman. I will not explain the reasoning behind the words because that would be a spoiler. I will share that this is a lighthearted ‘whodunit’ and the first book in the “Jamie Quinn Mystery Series.” The story revolves around the protagonists, Jamie, her aunt, and her cousin who happens to have Aspergers. 3.5 to 3.75*. I really like cozy mysteries, although I'm well aware that they could be done quite badly. Luckily, I enjoy the Jamie Quinn books. Jamie is a lawyer who, in book 1, is taking a break, mourning her mother's passing. She's jolted out of her grief when her autistic cousin is accused of murder. She reaches out to a private investigator, Duke, whose office is out of a bar he frequents. Duke is my favourite side char

This collection consists of the first three books in the Jamie Quinn series. She's a family lawyer in Hollywood, Florida, who gets swept in whodunnits. There's also a certain amount of South Florida craziness. The mysteries are fairly straight forward, and mostly telegraphed far too early. However, this is mostly made up for by the forward movement in the lives of the characters from book to book.

Light reading, but entertaining.
