So, when signing for this blog tour I actually didn't know what I'm getting into. Sure, I've read a synopsis but before I started reading the book I kind of forgotten it and my first thoughts were what am I reading??? Yes, I'll be honest with you, the first two, three chapters were somehow difficult for me to get into and I was so short from putting the book away, and it was only the fact that I am reading it for a blog tour that kept me reading. Archangels, angels, GOD, and then add to this ...more

How exciting! Today it is TWG’s turn on Julia’s blog tour for her debut novel! Big thank you to Julia for allowing me to read her book in exchange for my thoughts, and a huge thank you to Jenny at NeverlandBT for inviting me to take part.
Lets get down to what I thought, shall we?

‘Where is Emma Butler’s Life Plan?’, such an intriguing title don’t you think? I definitely thought so because I said yes to reading the book based on the title. I was so curious! A life plan? I know people sometimes

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and found myself giggling rather a lot as I read. Guardian angels discover there has been a mix up with Emma Butler's life plan and that she is due to be 'recalled' imminently without having fulfilled the key tasks on her life plan. Cue her guardian angel being sacked and Archangel Gregory taking over to ensure that all her assignments are completed in the next few days. There's a lot that needs to happen in these few days, including falling in love, but ...more

A sublimely witty and thoroughly entertaining read, Where is Emma Butler's Life Plan? authored by Julia Wilmot, entrances Chick Lit readers from page to page, with its successful combination of humor, spirituality, and the pursuit of happiness and fulfillment by contemporary woman Emma Butler

A light hearted, but provocative read, this intriguing narrative stars main character Emma Butler, she's single, youthful, intelligent, attractive and gainfully employed, but she begins to realize that she is

After signing up for this blog tour there were a few occasions where I wondered if I had done the right thing, although the book appealed to me part of me wasn’t sure about it but for some reason I decided not to withdraw from the tour and I’m really glad I didn’t. This is definitely a book with an unusual premise, it’s the first one I remember reading where some of the main characters are actually angels. Although this is the story of part of Emma Butlers life it also tells the story of ...more

This review originally appeared on BrizzleLass Books.

In a book with an interesting premise, Where is Emma Butler’s Life Plan? See’s Emma Butler treated as a puppet by the angels in heaven as they race to ensure the life plan she set out before she was born is completed before she is ‘recalled’ to heaven.

In some strange mix up, they have discovered that she hasn’t completed any of her life goals with only one week of life left…or has she? This leads to a frantic week of Emma making decisions and

I loved the concept of this book straightaway, I’m always intrigued by Guardian Angels and like to think there may be someone greater looking out for me. However this story shows that even the best can make mistakes when they muddle up the ‘life-plan’ for Emma. Will she achieve everything in one short week .. how will it affect her love life?

I found this quite difficult to get into and I was about 10% in before I had fathomed who was who and what could be happening. Then it slowly began to

Emma Butler's life is about to get a little crazy. According to her Guardian Angels, she has not yet completed her life plan and is due to face her "recall" in just a week. Such a short amount of time doesn't leave the angels a lot of room for error and they must sort out her life quickly. What they don't know is that Emma's love life may be hopeless and the plan might be wrong all around.

This book was definitely different. It is told from the viewpoint of both Emma and her Guardian Angels. It

Julia Wilmot began her exploration of the spiritual life as a teenager at school. She was fortunate to meet a wonderful family who all practised Transcendental Meditation (TM) and her future was set. At the age of 15 Julia learnt TM and felt she had found her path in life. She was so sure that this path was the only one for her that she decided not to go to University and study law as she had ...more
