Saw this at my local library so I picked it up; it's a quick read. I would not rec this for kids due to violence and gore.
While helping King Alistair, Isabella and company get captured by the Qun. We learn more about her backstory. Then there's a daring and unlikely escape, and an alliance forged.
It's pretty male-gazey at times. I love Isabella as a character but come on, put on some trousers. You're going to get painful chafing.
