My Heartbeats

Rate this book
We often don't tell our loved ones, especially the children in our lives, how we feel about them. I wanted to let a few of my heartbeats know their effect on me. These children have affected my life and I am forever grateful to their parents for allowing me in. In this children's poetry book they get a glimpse of how I feel.

My Heartsbeats is a potpourri of poems for children. Moreover, as you read them, they'll become your “heartbeats,” the author's words will resonate with a memory. This happened to me for a few poems. Moreover, if you are not careful, you'll forget the book is for kids. For example, the poem The Game reminds me of playing Atari as a child; I would get so caught up in the game that hours went by as I played it. This is the same as My heartbeats; children will get so caught up with the poems that they’ll lose track of time. That’s what childhood is about and that’s why My Heartsbeats is a perfect gift for your child.

Heartwarming

My children - 9 & 8 years old loved this book. Rarely have we found poetry books where both kids stay from beginning to end. I throughly enjoyed this and now helping mine write their own.
