I read this book for the promotional process at work and learned a lot. Some sections seemed redundant or a little long winded but the text was more interesting and informative than other books on the list. Among other things the book presented very good information on pre incident planning, high rise and standpipe operations, fire behavior and firefighting tactics.

A lot of this is straight out of Fire Essentials for Fire 1 and 2. This relies heavily on good instructors to create good officers. Not surprising.
