Guinness World Records™, known until 2000 as The Guinness Book of Records, is a reference book published annually, containing a collection of world records, both human achievements and the extremes of the natural world. The book itself holds a world record, as the best-selling copyrighted book series of all time. It is also one of the most frequently stolen books from public libraries in the United States
If you're a gamer and want to know who holds certain records for specific games on various consoles then you will enjoy this a lot! Covering a wide variety of video games, from action, RPG, to sports and fighting, this is a fun book filled with trivia tidbits and impressive stats.
This book was about how many of the gamers won awards and the best out the gamers. The gamers are mostly really popular games on x box ,Wii,and the play station ,Some of this can be found in like a smartphone or tablet .It is a really interesting book because it shows the dates it was invented .And how many popularity .I would recommend this book to everyone that likes gaming .
I like this book because there are many things that are very surprising to read like all of the records that have been broken over the year of 2017. This book helps me learn what people like to do for their life time. Another reason why I like the book is because maybe one day I should be able to do one o these things in the future. This book has everything for everyone to do and to read and to have enjoyment to read and get knowledge about.
This book was really interesting. These video game records were amazing. I'm not a video game fanatic but I could not stop reading these records. The FIFA and Pes sections were the most interesting to me. Most goals scored, most games won in a row, most fouls in a game, most passes in a game etc. Even if you don't love video games like me you will still love this book.
Some interesting tidbits and a walk down memory lane for me, but definitely more facts than records. Some of the records chosen for inclusion also seem a little puzzling in places (e.g Guitar Hero individual song records on Medium difficulty).
Read this countless of times, seeing the crackdown 3, scalebound, mass effect andromeda, and shenmue 3 announcement made me sad with their future failures.
This year's edition isn't really sure if it wants to be a world record book or a fact book. Most of it is taken up by filler facts and interviews with large developers rather than anything particularly interesting being done by fans within the gamer community. It feels rather out of the spirit of what the Guinness World Records are about.
