I enjoyed getting to know the more serious side of Chris McAllister in this book, and liked getting to know Sarah. That said, I didn't like this book as much as the previous two: perhaps because, even though there was SOME Navajo interaction/history involved, it wasn't as pronounced as in the earlier stories. Still, an enjoyable, light read.

This was a good book. I read the Kindle Fire version. This book is part of the Rainbow Rock series.

Perhaps I have read too many in a row but I didn't enjoy this one as much as the first two.

Susan Aylworth loves books, poems, plays, words in almost all polite forms, and good raspberry jam. Her first book, started when she was nine, "was a rip-off of Black Beauty. I wrote eight whole pages." For her fifth grade career day, she stated her ambition to become "a rich and famous author." Decades later, she is pleased to have achieved the 'author' part of that goal.
