The Chronicles of Odde tell of the Great Convergence, a time when the doors to another world are open. When things proves to have all the dangerous implications their names suggest and Abbey's friend Milly is chosen. Abbey trades places with her to save her only real friends, Milly and the man Milly loves, Piter. But nothing is going as Abbey expects, instead of a raging monster, she meets Robin, the Beast's stoic friend and servant, and Simon, his impish ten year old brother. Come to find out, the Beast isn't a beast at all, but a very handsome man. To add to her confusion, Abbey isn't eaten, or even cursed, but there are far too many fairytale references for her to feel at ease, because all indicators point to her demise if she can't figure something out soon. Unable to leave the Ruin and waiting to be claimed by the curse, Abbey joins the two brothers, to become their cook and slowly learns the truth behind the whispers and tall-tales. What can she do to save them all when the fairytales got it wrong, and loving the Beast might just be the thing that gets her killed?

Interesting take on Beauty and the Beast

Great characters and lots of action. A few tearful moments, and smiles. As a teacher I would recommend this to students 7th and up. There is only one hiccup in formatting where a paragraph of text is repeated throwing the reader off until they read down and find the story again. It’s not a big deal but I recommend the author correct it in the next upload. Great book.

Loved it!

I search for new plots, and this was a very entertaining read. I read The Lost Lady and found this book next. Please proofread this book. There are many instances of the wrong word being used, and this is one of the best fantasy books I have read, so it doesn't do the book justice.
