First up let it be known this is NOT a standalone, this was the final nail in the coffin for me with this one as I kept hanging out for it to get better or at least resolve! Nope, it’s dragged out for another book!

I so wanted to love this one, the blurb grabbed me and I couldn’t wait to read! Maybe that was it? I had recently read another books with a similar premise and it was done well so this one did not live up to its promise. I have read a few “reality show” books and this one just did not

I picked up this book for a few reasons. First, the cover. How adorable is this cover? The old fashioned tv and the sweet, married couple who look so in love? I absolutely love this cover – clearly! Secondly, I love reality tv. I watch all the reality tv shows like the Bachelor, Bachelor in Paradise, Biggest Loser, Real World, Teen Mom, Gypsy Sisters, Couples Therapy, and more. So knowing this book written about a reality show really drew me in. Finally, the blurb ma

2.5 Meeeeh!

Been there, done that.

Ok ok, not really, this is the first "reality show" book I read, but it was just as boring as I expected it to be.
I gave the book 25 stars not because it was bad, but because it was a forgettable read (for me). I just wasn't that much into it.

The characters weren't awful and the writing wasn't too bad, even the plot could be interesting to some people (not to me, but to other "somes"). So ah well, if you like the blurb, it's worth reading. If you don't, you'd bes

fun, clever, entertaining - no drama just for drama - I am addicted to reality TV so this was right up my alley. I could picture every scene, every interaction in my head as if it were a tv show playing in my mind and I enjoyed every minute! Wait til you meet this cast of characters!

Such a cute read - that first chapter, I'm dying! Joey and Joshua are charming characters what with their issues, insecurities and involuntary insurmountable attraction. Of course there is one communication breakdown after another, it's that kind of book, in a super fun way, of course. But it does get a bit tender and touching, too. Heidi knows her way around backstage, adds verisimilitude and believability to a fairy-tale of Hollywood. A perfect escape read, as addicting and infuriating as your ...more

OMG I LOVE IT like I was hooked form page one and couldn’t put this baby down. Blind Reality is filled with one exciting thing after the next, and will never disappoint. Heidi wrote a true love story and a different kind of one at that.

I have never read anything like this book and was happy because I have been in a funk for a while but I read it in 24 hours and cant stop thinking of Joey and Joshua! Two people in very different points in there life join a show to get married to someone but not

Loved it, loved it, loved it!

This pop culture junkie fell hard for Blind Reality--with a glimpse into the world behind the camera, a fantastic amount of sexual tension and two fantastic leads, I was completely smitten! I can't wait for more in this series!
2 - 2.5 ☆ Just couldn't connect with the characters. So I found it difficult to keep focused & the need to skim through some paragraphs. I felt like emotions were jumping from one pan to the next......again just my opinion ...more

Wow! It's like Big Brother meets The Bachelor, and big brother is one of my fave reality shows. Blind Reality was a light, cute and funny read which is just what I needed. There was some drama but nothing major. I really enjoyed reading Blind Reality and am ashamed to say its the first book I have read by Heidi McLaughlin although I own most of her books LOL Joey and Josh are easy to fall in love with and you can't help but to get attached to their characters, their back and forth banter keeps y ...more

Did you ever watch a reality TV show like The Bachelor and wonder what the participants were thinking? Is it all a show for the cameras or are real feelings involved? Welcome to the Married Blind show, where a couple agrees to say “I do” and stays married in order to win a large cash prize. Joey marries Josh, her ultimate celebrity dream-crush. This reminded of Bachelor Pad with a MAFS twist while I'm not huge fan of watching reality shows I've seen my fair share. I like the premise and I was interested where it was going. The insight to behind the scenes was fun and things fans of it would like. I would've like more insight on the other characters though. I personally like that aspect of it, everyone has their reasons of joining and you realize it's manipulated too in a way. Josh and Joey were likeable but in some ways I wanted to

Heidi has done it yet again. She's taken us to a different level of her talent. Blind Reality is new, fun and entertaining with a little angst. It's such an amazing read. I love the characters she has created here, even the annoying as hell Amanda! Joey and Josh really touch your heart, both of them not knowing what the other is thinking but knowing each other at the same time.
I highly recommend you pick up this book and get to reading.

A little birdie told me...
Let me start by mentioning my disdain for all things reality TV. Shows like that are vapid, ridiculous and so very far from reality, it's a wonder how they can legally get away with the genre's moniker. I'll never understand the draw to them. What's worse are those who want to be on reality shows. Those talentless hacks seem so narcissistic and opportunistic, they see a way to grab their fifteen minutes by humiliating themselves, all for the entertainment of the voyeuristic minds who are addicte ...more

Blind Reality is one funny, sweet, and crazy book!

I’ve recently become a fan of this author’s work, and when I read the blurb of this book, I needed it, and jumped into immediately when it hit my kindle. We meet Josh and Joey who have both unwillingly signed up for the T.V. reality show where the contestants agree to marry someone sight unseen and work with them for 3 months to win 1 million dollars. Never in Joey’s mind did she ever think she’d marry her celebrity crush.

In the beginning of this

3.5-4 stars. This book started out with a fun and interesting premise for the reality tv junkie in me, but then fell a little short in the delivery because the characters were likable also a bit flat. Joey Mitchell is blindly wed to none other than Hollywood celebrity Joshua Wilson. The two of them, along with 2 other blindly married couples, are featured in a show called Married Blind, complete with a house for them to share, competitions and confessions. Joey is a big fangirl of Joshua's and w ...more

I Loved this book. I literally could not put it down and by the time I finished the clock read 5:30am. Thank God I have off during the summers!!
Joshua is a famous actor who winds up in a crazy reality tv show where the couples get married while blindfolded. (Totally love this idea btw) Joey, his number 1 fan is living her every fantasy... Married to her favorite actor.
Even blindfolded, they have an immediate attraction to each other. Jason lays his cards on the table and tells Joey there won't

It's true. Heidi can officially write anything she puts her mind to. I love all her characters and the ones in Blind Reality could easily sit at the top of my list now.

The book grabbed me from the start and to say I couldn't put it down is an understatement. All the characters in this book, no matter how small their role, was well thought out to add entertainment and angst to keep the story flowing smoothly. And this story flowed at just the right pace.

The characters were well developed and re

There was a nice mix of "celebrity crush/girl next door" and "arranged marriage" tropes set in a reality show format. The characters themselves were likeable and flawed just enough to be realistic. And the reality show characters and challenges were fun or at least interesting.

So, why didn't I rate it higher? Because of the "cut to commercial" ending. That was a low blow and not really necessary. I would have still read the next book to see how they adapted after everything has changed but I fe

I ABSOLUTLEY love every book Heidi writes. What happens when u go on a reality tv show that you didn't want to, that your mom submitted an application for you and not seeing who you will marry. It reminds me of my fav. reality show. Joshua is an up and coming movie star and Joey hasn't had luck in love. Will this be an experience that will change them or be the biggest mistake of their lives. I literally could not but this book down which doesn't surprise me since I'm a fan of all Heidi's work. ...more

Can you imagine going on a "reality" TV show in which you have to marry a stranger you won't even see until after you've been pronounced husband and wife?

Joey can't. And it's not like she even signed up for this stunt; her mother submitted the application after Joey cancelled her wedding to a guy who proved unworthy. Emotionally fragile and suffering from a destructive blow to her confidence, Joey imagines that she sees her celebrity crush, Joshua Wilson, when, after a scorching kiss with her ne

I was so wrapped up in the story within this story that I had no idea when I came to the end of the story. Heidi has once again given us readers a prize worthy book. First, let’s talk about the cover. How different and so very pretty! I instantly fell in love with it and being a very visual person, the cover set the bar really high! My oh My Miss Heidi! Yet again she creates a story that kept me turning the pages! In Blind Reality, Heidi takes us inside the world of reality tv when Joshua and Joey find themselves walking down the aisle blindfolded to the possibility of holy matrimony or will it be holy torture?

“I wish I could be enough for you. I wish that when you looked at me you saw your future, not someone temporary. When I see you, I see the stars lighting our path through life. I see us doing something great and magnificent. I don't care that you're famous because that's not how I see you anymore. To me, you're the one who makes sure I'm warm at night. You make me feel like I matter, and I want the opportunity to show you the you matter to me as well.” 2 likes
“Josh, what are you saying?”
He looks into my eyes and smiles. “I’m hoping you want to give us a chance when we get out of here. I know I don’t deserve it, but I want to see where we can go with this. I still don’t like the idea of being married and I’m not saying we need to divorce, but win or lose, I’m hoping for a chance. ”
