Good story. Never warmed up to Alex though. He was too insecure and paranoid.

If all you're looking is for intense, emotional sex, read this book. Don't bother with the rest of my review, get this book. Now.

Okay, now for the plot, because there actually was a lot to it, so I probably won't try to sumarize it. I'll just say there was a lot of action and suspense and I never got bored. The prologue is from Silas's POV and we get to see the moment he meets Alex and realizes it's his fated mate which I really liked. Great addition to the series! The author creates a great voice and real emotional depth for Alex. All his swagger, bravado, fear, and confusion is just there waiting to be gently soothed by Silas. If we saw Alex from any other perspective we would just think that he was, in one of his favorite words, an asshole but, instead, we see into his mind and heart to his battered heart and emotional fragility.
