Stranded with the man of her dreams—could Christmas get any better?

December is Nicki Lamont’s least favorite month. Last year her boyfriend left her for an old girlfriend he reconnected with online, and this year she’s been sent to Cornwall to photograph model Bryce Anderson in his underwear. It should be a dream assignment, but Bryce is as arrogant and difficult as he is hot.

Nicki wants to wrap things up quickly, but when a power failure strands her with Bryce in his manager’s clifftop home, she realizes they could be forced to spend the whole of Christmas together. As they try to make the best of the situation, Bryce’s icy exterior thaws and Nicki sees a side of him she likes very much. When she lets down her own barriers, things between them heat up. The sex is spicy and passionate, but can what they have become more than a Christmas fling?

About the author

I am Rotherham’s foremost (okay, only) writer of quality erotica and erotic romance. Though I’m now based in London, family and football take me back North on a regular basis. Indeed, if you’re ever at a Rotherham United match (I know, what are the chances?) and you spot a small blonde with a large ‘London Millers’ flag, that’ll be me.

For twenty years, I worked on the UK edition of Forum magazine, for most of those years as editor. In that time, I built up the fiction side of the magazine, and was responsible for publishing the first stories by lots of now well-known and established erotic authors – most notably Portia da Costa and Lindsay Gordon, who was until recently Black Lace’s series editor.

However, I love writing even more than I love editing, and I’ve finally taken the plunge to write full-time. I’ve had stories published by Black Lace, Xcite Books, Cleis Press, Circlet Press, Mammoth, Ravenous Romance, Total-e-bound and more, and my collection of three gay erotic novellas, Wild Rides, will be coming out as a print book from Xcite in 2012. And I’m happy in my work…

Nicki hates December. Last year her cheating boyfriend left her for his ex. This year is shaping up to be just as bad. As a photographer, she's been handed what some would consider to be a dream assignment. To photograph model Bryce Anderson, for an underwear shoot. Unfortunately, the sexy, hot model, is ultra arrogant and extremely difficult to work with. Nicki knows the credit will shore up her resume so she is determined to take on the model,get the pictures needed, and get out of there-fast. But there is a storm on the horizon!

Once finished and packed up, the storm grows intense and the power is knocked out. Forced back to the house after a tree blocks the drive, Nicki realizes she will be spending more time with Bryce then she wants. As the two get comfortable, both let down their guard some, both see someone they are very interested in! Things go nuclear fast! After the fog clears, Nicki questions whether she was just another notch on the bedpost for Bryce, or could they really date each other. I guess you will have to read this to find out!!

I love the Totally Bound Sexy Snax imprint because they are such fun to read! Short, quick and sexy stories that are that perfect distraction! I recommend Mr. December as it is that perfect book to read in between those long novels, or when you just want something quick for a change of scenery.

Short but sweet story. Bryce and Nikki work in the same industry and are working together when they both get stranded in a country house. They use this time together very well. Build up between the two is quick and intense. Sex scenes are hot just like the characters. Author does a good job drawing you into the story seeing how short it is. Scenery description is good. Characters are well developed and a little bit of their histories are shared which helps to flesh out the story. Quick, easy read for anyone looking for something to fill in between your major reading.

This can be read as a stand alone book and does have an HEA.

Be honest... Who here would grab the chance to be stranded on a stormy Christmas night with the man of your dreams? Be it your boyfriend, husband, or, for the single ladies here, a man you've lusted after ever since you met him. In Elizabeth Coldwell's Mr. December, Nicki finds herself stranded with the man that has not only been a thorn in her side, but also the subject of her naughtiest fantasies. From the publisher's Sexy Snax imprint, Mr. December was a little bite of scrumptious fun. It was a super quick read that kept me warm on a chilly December night with its fun writing, witty characters, and some steaming hot sexual tension.
