This is the sixth edition of British pastor-author C.W. Slemming's standard study of the Old Testament tabernacle, first published in 1938 but still useful to today's Bible students.
I enjoyed reading Slemming’s classic work. He has thought a lot about the Tabernacle and all of its elements. He points out ‘types’ represented by each part of the tent and by each of the furnishings. It seems like God spent a lot of time on these details, so I really appreciate Slemming taking the time to do a detailed analysis. It is very detailed!
The language is a little archaic but the concepts are sound. My study would have been richer had I taken the time to read the referenced scripture passages in a newer translation.
This book is exceptional. Albeit, it is not based on the KJV. It brings to light some wonderful truths in the Scriptures pertaining to the Tabernacle! It is so stocked full of typologies and is very easily understood. This is an excellent book to use for study!
God worked a lot of detail into the Tabernacle in the Wilderness. C.W. Slemming spends a lot of time helping explain the messages God wove into its construction and how it relates to Christ.
