Our girls seem to be enamored with riddles right now and during a visit to the library, we came across more riddle books by Katy Hall and Lisa Eisenberg. So we read this book as well as Snakey Riddles: Level 3. We couldn't find our youngest's all-time favorite, Mummy Riddles, but I'm sure she'll find it and read it again soon. They all have very corny jokes, but fun nonetheless. And the illustrations are fun, too.

This is a good book to correlate with an informative dinosaur book. It's important to teach children what a dinosaur is, but also they aren't bad. This book is filled jokes about dinosaurs. I found myself laughing at a few. It's good to relate jokes with reading to keep a child's interest. I think all children would find the jokes pretty funny if I found them funny.

We had to check out a riddle book for the Summer Reading Program at the library. This one has a lot of lame puns. Little Miss just looked at me quizzically. I found one or two she understood. Legomeister read it, but I didn't hear him laughing much.

Super cheesy dinosaur joke book that cracked my first graders up after they caught on to the double entendres. It's actually a good book for teaching simple word play as well as the multiple meanings of some words. Best read when creating your own laugh track.
