This book was sent to me at my request for me to review. So everything written here is my opinion only.
I was very interested in this book for several personal reasons. The author is spot on. While my story is almost a flipped opposite of hers it still was the same principle. Though my story turned out far different.
I was raised a Preachers Daughter, saved at an early age and prayerfully married a young man who's family loved God and while he had run away at 16, came back and seemed to have made

A Book Review: MISSION POSSIBLE – A Must Read!
By D.L. McCarragher

Will he ever change? Will things ever be the same? How do I make him understand? These maybe some questions asked by women who are on the edge of making a life changing decision when it comes to their marriage.

The Authors statement in the Preface … “When GOD “chooses” you in the midst of your marriage as a believer, you have but one mission to fulfill – that is believing for your mate’s salvation”. The question to you would be: Ar

I couldn't believe how this book fit into my life as if it were writen just for me. I learned a very valuable lesson about myself reading "Mission Possible". I was trying to do God's job for him instead of having faith and patients that he would bring my husband to him when it is time.
I apologized to my husband for my short sightedness and told him I know he believes in God and that Jesus died on the cross for our sins, the rest is now up to God. I will pray and wait for God's will to be done, n

Mission Possible is a must read for any married couple

Mission Possible is a well thought out, easy to follow and scripture based book
on the issue of a "unsaved spouse". As I was reading this book, there were issues
that I myself had not thought of before and felt that are relevant to any marriage.
I have nick named, "Mission Possible", "The Marriage Spiritual Warfare Book ".

This is a must have, not only if your spouse isn't saved, but also if they are saved and don't have the same desire to serve Christ as you do. Nothing is impossible with God. That includes changing your spouse's heart. Deborah does an excellent job sharing Biblical Truths on how to take on that possible mission of leading your spouse to Christ.

My favorite quote in her book was:

We are to "love the sinner, but hate the sin." There were times I had to pray, "Lord, give me a desire for my husband...

For a modern Christian wife, hoping and waiting for your husband to embrace Jesus as his savior is not enough. With Mission Possible, Deborah McCarragher hopes to offer a guide to show your man the path to finding and creating a relationship with our Lord.

Like many North Americans, author Deborah McCarragher made many excuses for not going to church. Finally, in the spring of 1989 she attended with a neighbor. As she describes it, Deborah was “radically saved” that first Sunday. She took her tw

Mission Possible
By D L McCarragher

Believing for your husband’s salvation—that is the purpose of this book. If you are in a marriage with an unbelieving spouse, this book is for you. This sentence really spoke to my heart, “It is God’s job to make that call of salvation and we must pray they hear the “knock.” According to D L McCarragher, we should pray and speak aloud our spouse’s name. We need to find a scripture for our spouses and proclaim it. Visualizing our spouse saved and living for God i

Mission Possible is a spiritual and inspirational book that is a practical and sound marital guide that serves as a powerful tool for any woman who is married to a man who does not share her passion for Jesus. Author Deborah McCarragher motivates and encourages readers to embrace the powerful promises of God for yourself as well as your spouse, and understands personally how standing on those promises will allow the power of God to begin to take hold of the life of your unsaved spouse. "My husband had a 'target on his back' and wasn’t aware that GOD had His arrow of LOVE 'aimed right at the bulls eye'!"

This statement in the book caught my attention because out of all that said and done, there is a love from God that we often don't really know is there; we don't really understand. That love from God is what causes Our Great Creator to line us up and place those in our lives that will intercede for us; cover us.

This book is definitely a must read for women who may be struggling in an unequally yoked marriage - whether their husbands are unsaved or saved and not living for the Lord. I found it to be very insightful and encouraging. Deborah shares her story of how she came to know the Lord before her husband and the difficulties she experienced as she attempted to live the Christian life yet still remain in her marriage to a man who didn't understand her need for God.

Some of the key points in this book a

D.L. McCarragher’s book, Mission Possible, does include the different ways to be interceding for your husband’s salvation, including:

Discovering how to believe with radical faith for your spouse’s salvation
Learning the secret to “staying the course” while you wait for your promise
Finding out why many women don’t like to share their “secret sorrow”
Overcoming your own fears and doubts about you husband’s future with God
Joining other women in the knowledge that God has a perfect plan of unity

Mission Possible is an awesome book for any spouse that is married to an unbeliever. The author writes from a lady's perspective, but her spiritual guidance and spot on Biblical verses and questions for further study to back up what she says is very helpful. She offers a prayer for your spouse and talks about prophesying for his (or her) salvation. Many Christians are married to someone who is not yet a Christian and need support to help them through their difficult trials. This book definitely ...more

More than a book, Mission Possible is a Bible study and prayer guide. It tells of one woman's struggle on her knees and what she learned as she waited for her husband to follow her in faith. Each chapter ends with questions for the reader to answer. The reader will find much here to help anyone waiting for a husband or a family member to come to the Lord. She quoted passages that will help me in my prayer life for any family member or friend.

However, in a book, I would have liked to see more per

A brief outline of this book is best described by the author:
“This book will serve to encourage your heart, strengthen your soul, and stretch your faith.”

Mission Possible begins by describing the priestly role model that Jesus portrays for the husband in the household. Unfortunately, he will not follow this role if your spouse is not a believer. Becoming a believer while your spouse is not can cause stress, heartache, and discouragement.

Mission Possible is a detailed, scripturally based boot-

Everyone needs hope for the crisis they are walking out. D. L. McCarragher does a good job of putting together that hope for your unsaved husband.
I enjoyed the personal parts about Deborah's own life.
I found many "take aways" from Mission Possible to make me better. For one, "Stop committing spiritual murder against your mate."
This book lends itself well to a Group Study, Ladies support group. It is easy to read. There is a page to fill in your thoughts at the end of each chapter so you can jour

Mission Possible: Spiritual Covering is proof that sometimes good things really do come in small packages. This little book contains a big message: never give up on your husband’s salvation. For the unsaved spouse, his saved wife may be the only gospel they will ever hear. In Mission Possible, the saved spouse is encouraged to pray for her unsaved loved one, and not let his actions or words provoke her to disobedience or to see him as her enemy. Short, easy to understand chapters will allow even ...more

This excellent offering has more to offer than meets the eye. Concise and to the point with the focus and intent being delivering hope, encouragement, useful scripture and guidance to those women who are in a spiritually mismatched marriage. I was leery at first because I wondered if this would have practical application for those who are in marriages where they are not with an unsaved spouse but instead with someone who a Christian but off track in their spiritual life in another way: back-slid ...more

Is your spouse saved? Do you need some encouragement about your marital relationship? This book is right for you!

Having an unsaved spouse while you are saved can make your relationship difficult. This book gives great examples of how to make the relationship work while you are praying for your spouse. The author of this book is a woman whose husband is not saved but her examples can apply to a husband with an unsaved wife as well.

I found the book to be very encouraging and well thought out. The

When I read Mission Possible Spiritual Covering by Deborah L. McCarragher I wasn't sure what to expect, however, from the first moment I started reading this book I realized that this wasn't coincidence but God Incidence. Deborah McCarragher writes an honest and refreshing look at her own journey. I believe that it will be an encouragement for other women who may be in the similar situation. I can see that Bible study that goes along with this wonderful book could possibly cause Mission Possible ...more

I read this book sweetly in one quick sitting. Short, precise and to the point. this book is full of scripture to be used in your warfare to win you Husband over from the enemy to the savior's side. i have never seen a book that addresses the need like this and am glad for it. I recommend the book. The only thing I might add that I do not think was addressed is I peter 3, that the Husband would be won. I would lay hold on that one. (Maybe this was mentioned in the book and it slips me now. I do ...more

Deborah had a desire to publish her first book, MISSION POSSIBLE – Spiritual Covering for years, but it literally “sat on a spiritual shelf” until God released her to have it printed in late 2007. It has since been revised and re-released in 2015. The book addresses the struggles and difficulty of a marriage when one spouse finds the Lord first. Being unequally yoked after you are married presents ...more
