This is my book, so of course, I love it. Reprieve is about overcoming prejudice to find truth. It's about setting things right, even when it's terrifying, even when it means you're standing alone. This book is my whole heart, and I think everyone should read it.

Discovered this book from a friend who happened to have Celeste Hollister as her English teacher back in the day. Overall it's a good ...more

I was amazed how this book was able to make me feel. I was expecting to read a story, but I was not ready to be affected by it. For anyone who enjoys fiction that makes your reflect on your own life and past, I cannot recommend this book enough. Celeste Hollister has an amazing way of using dialog and description to make the both the small town experience and the people it shapes resonate in your mind. More than a story, this is an immersive experience. Prepare to walk in the shoes of a woman tr ...more

This book was pretty good. I found the characters likeable and the story to be well written. I also found that the story wrapped up nicely once it ended and that, as a journey, this book does a great job of doing that.
