This is the perfect toddler cookbook for parents and children to enjoy together. Complete with easy recipes for a wide variety of dishes, from lettuce wraps to crunchy chicken dippers. The Toddler Cookbook contains multiple opportunities for toddlers to lend Mom or Dad a hand as they whip up new flavors. This is a fun way to spend quality time together and encourage your toddler to try new foods and skills.
The Toddler Cookbook has step-by-step photos so toddlers can learn how to measure, sift, mix, and much more!
We've had this book for a long time and finally gave it a try today. It was very easy for my 3 year old to pick recipes that she wanted to make. She just looked at the photographs of the foods and also of what activities the kids were doing... For example, she picked the Lettuce Boats because she saw it had corn in it, and she liked the sails, and she liked the girl pouring the corn and stirring with the big wooden spoon! We also made the banana muffins. Both recipes were very easy to make, yielded small portions, and were a hit with the whole family. The book is very well done and easy to use. I just wish there were more meals in there!
Having a toddler really challenges the fact that I HATE cleaning and really try to keep messes to a bare minimum. Tonight we made the Chicken Dippers (VERY messy) and I survived, if only because E had SO MUCH fun making them. She is often my kitchen assistant, albeit in very controlled settings, so it is nice to have this cookbook to give me reason to let her do more, even if there is a BIG mess involved.
Good concept but too adviced for a toddler (too much writing, not enough visuals), all the pictures clearly show preschool age kids. Most of the recipes involve meat products and thus are not useful to me and my actual toddler-aged toddler.
This book has lots of pictures demonstrating each step of the recipes, but I have to say, more power to anyone who braves doing some of these recipes with a toddler!
