Lippincott NCLEX-RN Alternate-Format Questions , 6th edition is designed to help anyone preparing to take the RN licensing examination. Students and faculty also use the book as a study guide and practice tests for preparing for faculty-made examinations.
This expanded 6th edition has everything needed for students to be fully prepared to answer every type of question found on the NCLEX. This book is essential to my review for the upcoming exam and I'm learning how to deal with difficult questions.

Highly recommend this book to study alternate format questions for the NCLEX- a type of question that I was highly concerned about passing with.
With more than 500 questions, it's a great practice and good confidence booster. Had all types of questions: graphic option, multiple-response, multiple choice, fill in the blank calculations, chart exhibit, drag and drop/ list and hotspot questions!
Liked the layout of questions on the left hand half of the page with answers and explanations on the right hand side for ease of checking and reviewing the rationale. Make sure you don't accidentally peek by having something to cover the opposite side.

This book was difficult, which was good! NCLEX can only seem easier after 400+ pages of select-all-that-apply and other alternate-format questions! My main issue with this book was that quite a few of the "put these in order" questions had answers that were WAY off. For instance, when would you ever document before covering a dehisced wound?? When you read the rationale for the answer, the rationales made sense and the order matched what I was thinking. However, if you were just looking at the answer and not the rationales, the answers were completely in the wrong order. I assume this book had a previous version and the order of the options was rearranged, but the answers weren't altered accordingly. I just read the rationales and it was fine, but it is a significant error with this book.
