DAKOTA HOMECOMING, book 10 of the DAKOTA HEARTS series

Julian McKinnon hasn't been home to South Dakota and the family that had always been his anchor, and they want to know why. He may seem like the black sheep of the family, but telling his family he was an undercover FBI agent after all they'd been through didn't seem like a great idea. Now there's another McKinnon wedding planned for the holidays and the family has made it clear Julian isn't going to miss it for any reason. That leaves his informant wide open. The only way to make sure she's safe is to bring her home to meet the family. Aside from Georgie Garcia (Gigi) being too close to the front line of one of Mexico's notorious drug lords, she's incredibly beautiful, making it hard for Julian to separate his job from his growing feelings for her.

Dakota homecoming

So far I've bought by eleven out of the fourteen book series I have loved reading all of them but my only problem with everyone of them is none of them have a ending and with books as good as these are you wait on a wonderful ending that never happens,I'm buying the last three books of the series to find out if the last book is the happily ever after,if it's not then I won't be reading any more books by Lisa mondello and that's sad because she's a amazing writer, when you read her books you can't put it down till the very disappointing ending.

Good read

He's FBI and she's in protective custody. But, he has a family wedding he can't miss, so his boss sends her with him. She loves his family and they love her. He's falling fast and so is she. What will the outcome be. No overt danger, some humor, romance, no sex, but not looks and some kissing. Highly recommend.

Dakota Homecoming

This is another short story with a not so very interesting ending as everything is left in the cold ? Nothing is confirmed nor is it ended unless you use your own imagination. I love these books but would love to read one that goes all the way to a full ending. This is my review and mine alone,. Norma Gorrill

Dakota Homecoming by Lisa Mondello
Dakota Hearts Series Book Ten
Julian McKinnon is the youngest in his family. A family that thinks he's just irresponsible and floats around. In reality he is an FBI agent and quite responsible. Right now that means he's watching over a gorgeous woman whose life is dependent upon him protecting her.

Georgie Garcia's life hadn't been easy growing up in Columbia. Even though she was able to escape and come to American, her only living relative is still there and stuck working in the compound of an evil man. If Georgie can help the FBI, then they'll help her get Angela to safety. What she didn't expect was to go to a wedding in South Dakota and spend time so close to her protector.

Nothing is small when it comes to the McKinnons, and especially not a wedding...or a homecoming. Julian and Georgie just need to let his family believe they are a couple for a week. Only the truth and lies get rather blurry with the more time they spend together.

As I become more acquainted with the characters in the Dakota Hearts series, it's amazing to me how Ms. Mondello can create so many wonderful characters. Her stories have varied personalities that havebut an individuality all their own. I received a copy of Dakota Homecoming in exchange for an honest review. Ms. Mondello gives you a little of everything with this novel. Bravery, romance, displacement, suspense, loyalty and a whole lot of love. I like that her stories do not have one set format because that keeps the surprises coming and the stories interesting. I loved how she used the security of family as a shield against the darker outside elements that were stalking Georgie and Julian. No matter how long you roam or how far you go, you can always go home.

Sweet romance with a hint of suspense. So beautifly written that will have you sighing and having trouble putting it down. Georgie escaped Colombia after finding out the horrible truth of her mom's murder. She contacted the FBI with information of one of the biggest drug traffickers of Colombia, for which she was granted protection in the form of Julian McKinnon. This new assignment came in the worst timing possible, Julian's brother's wedding. After spending nine months apart from his family, Julian won't let anything come between his trip back home to South Dakota, even if it is a pretty witness that he's in charge of protecting but is getting skin deep. When both are placed in such a relaxed and normal environment, it's almost impossible to not succumb to their attraction.

I was provided an ecopy of this book by the author free. I have read others of the Dakota Hearts series and loved this one as much as the others. The book is easily a stand alone because information you need on the other characters to bring them into the scene are provided. I do enjoy a good series ad following the action from one book to the next. Julian McKinnon had not been home for many months. He would not go home now but his brother is getting married. He is assigned to keep Georgie Garca safe and in order to do that, he must take her with him. As an FBI agent, he knows he needs to stay objective but being with Georgie at his parents home makes it hard.

This was another great book by Ms Mondello. If like me you haven’t read the entire series, don’t worry, it’s a stand alone story
This story centers on Julian , an FBI agent and Georgie, a young woman who is currently under the protection of the FBI. Julian is assigned to her case, and has been instructed that in order to protect her , he needs to take her to a family wedding he was attending in N. Dakota.
It is a story of family, new experiences, a dangerous past, but also the possibility of a new life filled with love and hope.
This one is sure to be enjoyed by all of Ms Mondello’s fans.

I not going to lie to you. I wanted more. It was so good until the end. Then a rush to the ending. I was on the edge of my seat Waiting to see if edwardo was going to catch up to Georgie. Or if they found Cash or it. It Angie make it out. It was all assumed, I guess.
Lots of good stuff otherwise. I love the chemistry between, Georgie and Julian. He is such a gentleman. His family welcomes her no matter what.

So romantic

This is Georgie(an informant for a FBI case) and Julian McKinnon-FBI agent. Georgie travels with Julian to his family home in South Dakota for a huge family event: a wedding. She's never had a large family, and although overwhelming loves every one of them. Julian and her have that deep attraction going that develops into a lifetime of love & life.
