I've been waiting for this one for a while now, and was really glad to see it come available. This was excellent. I was surprised by the plot twists and the final outcome, but in a good way. I like how the relationship between Land and Maeve is working out - a real relationship based in reality, not a mushy hot bods type thing. Like the new character - Land's sister. Looking for more good stuff from Ms Kendrick!

Maeve's till on her Dogs on a Roll food truck keeps coming up short. There are no problems on the Bask in the Sun truck so Maeve installs security cameras to catch her thief. But the cameras record an after hours murder - sort of.

Too much chick likes boyS airhead stuff, not enough actual mystery, too murder she wrote without the actual satisfaction of a somewhat well written cozy/murder mystery, and I don't have overly high expectations of cozy mysteries to begin with. Didn't get around due to a move to reading the previously bought 1-5 set nor the 6-10 set, now really wish had just put off using my amazon gift cards for other books and waiting to get it all on kindle unlimited. Have a couple of other freebie books from same author, doubtful will get around to them anytime soon.

Bought the first 2 as sets, the 14 set got on kindle unlimited

This is probably my least favorite book in the series, which does need to be read in order for complete understanding. In this installment we follow the trail of missing money to a body. The author really didn't go into as much detail with any of the characters. I really wanted to be roped into the story line but felt like an outsider through the book. Hopefully the next book goes back to the old style of really pulling you in and leaving you guessing, not the brief overlook.

Ending was too fast

This book was definitely not as good as the previous ones in the series. It was very hard to follow what happened at the end because the events that unfolded at the end were so rushed and very little details were used. I hate saying this because I really did enjoy the previous books.

While I enjoyed the lightheartedness of this book just like the others in the series, I feel the ending was much too fast. We had all the build up, and then suddenly the ending was summed up in what felt like 10 sentences. No danger, no nail biting waiting to be rescued, just.....oh yes the murderer is...............!.......the end.

An enjoyable chase.

Murder and twists delivered as always, but a little shorter than her previous books. Left me wanting more story and explanation and conflict resolution. Hopefully book 7 will deliver and fill that small gap. Watching the relationship develop between Land and Maeve is fun!

Who Did It and Why Did They Do It?

I enjoyed this book very much since I have read the previous books in the series. The story kept my attention right up to the end, trying to figure out who the thief and the killer was. The book did not end the way I was expecting it to.

There are a few typos in the book but they don't distract from the story too much.

Another great addition to this series!

Fell in love with this series from book 1! Although the the ending was a bit abrupt I was still not disappointed! Great characters whom I loved to come back to and learn more about as the craziness around them continues!

Good Story...Rushed Ending

Some of the other reviews were right. The story started off good enough, but the wrap up to the story was so abrupt that it took me a second to realize there wasn't a glitch in my app but that the story actually ended! Well, on to the next one.

Mysteries abound

This book introduced a new character. It was a good addition. I like how Carter is evolving. He is a quirky/fun character.
