Whitechapel: Documents of Contemporary Art

This anthology examines the expanded field of the moving image in recent art, tracing the genealogies of contemporary moving image work in performance, body art, experimental film, installation and site-specific art from the 1960s onwards. Contextualising new developments made possible by advances in digital and networked technology, it locates contemporary practice within a global framework. Una colección brillante de reflexiones sobre la imagen en movimiento y sus transformaciones, lleno de yuxtaposiciones tan estimulantes como fructíferas. Lo imposible de definir la imagen y sus avatares es digerible solo al sumergirse en la práctica y la reflexión de artistas, cineastas y teóricos de todas partes, y este libro ofrece una muestra significativa y enriquecedora.
