For the last ten years, I've roamed the globe, captivated by the world around me. I've seen the seven wonders and admired sunsets from every continent. I'd lived and loved and that was enough for me. It would have to be.

I was content, satisfied with my collection of experiences . . . until a phone call led me down a road less traveled.

If I'd known my fascination wou

When I heard the main characters in this book were named Jack and Rose, I was sold already. I mean, come on. How much more epic can you get? Still, after reading The Mind I was equal parts nervous and excited for this. I loved Rose. I loved Rose and Grant so much. How in the world could Kate make another man as perfect fo

If you have not read The Fall or The Mind, there will be spoilers for those books in this review.

I loved The Fall and The Heart by Kate Stewart, so when I saw she was writing another book in the series my mind was made up that I was reading it, no questions asked. I was a bit apprehensive about reading this one, because I cried reading both of the first two books, The Mind itself was just sobbing embarrassingly for hours. Luckily, I only ALMOST cried when read

I’d been waiting for a new life to start while staring in the rearview. If I wanted to change my life, my future required my attention.

I have been equal parts dying to read this story and terrified too. First, I love Rose and her beautiful heart, but I also loved her with Grant. From the moment, we met him I have been in love with his unconditional, full on head over heels love for Rose. So knowing how this story would go scared me, but I am so freaking glad I jumped in regardless o

I started The Heart needing to see a rainbow coming through the clouds. I wasn’t altogether convinced that a storm wouldn’t be brewing, but I was desperately hoping for a little sunshine. I finished The Mind completely devastated. A love so strong was not supposed to be bumped out so quickly or easily. Would the author be able to convince me that their love would be easy to move on fr

Absolutely glorious! Kate Stewart has filled my heart with her beautiful story.

This was one of those books. You know the ones - you wait for them impatiently while you bite your nails and pretend that there are other books that can hold your interest until the day it arrives on your Kindle. I've been dying to get my hands on The Heart since I finished The Fall and was left with a feeling of beautiful satisfaction for one set of characters but aching heartbreak for another. I admit that I stalked and begged for two days to get my hands on this arc as I was completely invested in Rose Whittaker. I read a short, passionate love story, The Mind, a few months back and was totally gutted over a fast love lost too soon. In just some 90 pages I felt an epic boom kind of love with the words and actions of Grant Foster, then I read the unyielding words of support from a strong family as that love no longer existed. Rose Whittaker loved Grant Foster, as fast and totally insa ...more

Many books tell beautiful tales of the heart. The light, the dark, the twisted, the ugly and the beauty of falling in love, losing love, getting stuck and unstuck. This series by Kate Stewart captures all of it with stunning characters, heart rendering stories and heartwarming prose. I must say this is my favourite book of this series. Rose is my favourite as is Jack and that's no small feat because all of these characters are special in their own way.

Having read The Fall and The Mind, I was more than ready for Rose to find happiness again. I had high expectations for this book, and Kate Stewart absolutely delivers.

It’s been three years since Rose’s tragic loss. She’s done her best to pick up the pieces of her life, and for the most part she’s been successful. Immersing herself in her career has

There are times when a series grabs you and makes you feel all the things you never knew you could feel. The Reluctant Romantics is that series for me. I fell hard for the angsty journey Dallas and Dean took in The Fall. I laughed and sobbed my way through Rose and Grant's heartbreaking journey in The Mind. And I laughed, cried (happy tears, mostly), and smiled in pure happiness in The Heart while Jack helped Rose rebuild her life. This book is everything I love about reading

If you've read The Fall and The Mind, you can understand my hesitation with reading this book. Jack Sawyer has a lot to measure up to.

Rose has had her heart broken and is just now breaking through that fog that she's been functioning through for the last few years. She has a great support system with her family and a whole lotta love but her life is not complete.

Jack is like a breath of fresh air. He awakens things in her...things that make her feel like a young, healthy, vibrant woman a

Kate Stewart is fast becoming the author who has the knack of obliterating my heart and then slowly piecing it back together. Once again I had streams of tears, some happy, some sad as she perfectly captured the love story of a couple who thought that their propensity to love another had been cruelly stripped away. Trying to find the words to describe this book is EXTREMELY HARD!
I will be honest and say that I have read this whole series just for this one story.
The story of Rose and Jack (Titanic much here).

I never ever thought after Grant that any guy should be with Rose.
He was the whole package.

She loved him wholeheartedly and it was painful to read her coping with his lost. Her sayings every morning to get out of bed and live, nearly killed me.

I thought I was prepared for all the feels Kate Stewart would bring with The Heart but she totally blindsided me. Holy hell! The characters have come full circle and so have I. I feel like I know these characters, that I've been living vicariously through them and that's also why I feel so hard. I am no romantic, but this made it hard not to fall in love with it. Everything about this book was so heartwarming. I laughed and smiled. My heart broke a little and I mourned the loss that everyone suffered. And I loved the characters more than anything else. I loved how they loved each other. Most importantly, I couldn't believe how they maintained and protected this love with everything they had.

This book was the perfect way to finish The Reluctant Romantic series and I especially appreciated the experience of seeing Rose heal again after the tragic loss of the wonderful first love of her life Grant. I've had this on my TBR for quite awhile and always skipped over it for something else, but I am glad I read it and I must say I enjoyed it. There were instances when I was completely frustrated with the heroine and the repetitive kissing scenes (grab face, possess mouth, rinse repeat), but the character build and the over all plot were good. It is, however, a tear jerker. Jack is the most agreeable hero (dealing with Dr. I don't know what the hell I want) I've read in quite sometime but once he ...more
