A wonderful resource. Whether it's a simple "how to get around" guidebook or a well-presented history of the park you're after, this book has it, along with lavish illustrations of the park and its features. I especially liked the sidebars on the planners and builders of the park, such as Frederick Law Olmstead and Calvert Vaux. The guidebook is slim and easy to carry, but it packs a great deal of information. In an easy-to-carry format, this is a great resource to take along on a jaunt to the park.

Pretty good concise guidebook for Central Park. Lots of informations and useful maps of the park. It skimps a little on the history of the Park, but there are other books for that.
