I was very excited to get this kit in which I make my own mandala stone. The kit comes with very easy to follow instructions and detailed pictures. This is a great way to have fun with a friend or sister on a Saturday. I was so proud on how my stone turned out. A vision of peace and happiness. I highly recommend this kit.

This is a very simple and basic book on its topic. Those are the best kinds of books. I was looking for some sort of art I could do, and this caught my eye at the store. I just finished this book, and I have designed on Mandala and I am working on a second.

No ink, no paint, no pigment. The designs in the book look cool, but unless I open a vein and paint with my own blood, the kit is fairly useless on its own. This wouldn’t have been a problem if the lack of ink/paint had been made clear somewhere besides in the middle of the book. Which can’t be read until after the package has been opened, after it has been purchased, packed in a suitcase, flown 3000 miles to a remote vacation location with a serious lack of local craft supply stores. Needless to say, those who had been looking forward to this activity are crushed and have declared that this kit “sucks” and is “the worst thing ever.” Also, something about “who would be dumb enough to make a painting kit with no paint.”
