Taking a gut-wrenching step into the unknown, Siobhan agrees to do her part to gather the rathstones and open Hallowmere. All alone, she is thrown back in time to the beginning of the conflict: twelfth century Scotland, a time when Fey and mortal lived side by side in peace.
But trouble is brewing and Siobhan already knows the cause. Will she be able to break down the walls of her fear in time to do her part?
In this dark historical fantasy series, six teen girls are propelled into an ancient battle between dark vampiric fey and the mortal world.

Siobhan was that shy maid who was terrified of the Fey and magic. That's who Corrine knew her as when she was the narrator. As it turns out, she discovers a braver part of herself when she freely chooses to step into a Fey (fairy) rath (realm) to find a rathstone (stones of incredible power, capable of opening and closing raths and enhancing magical power) open Hallowmere (a pool of magic where the Fey once came to reincarnate themselves).
Siobhan finds herself in twelth century Scotland, before the Unhallowed (Fey that drink the blood of mortals instead of going to Hallowmere) came into being. She is reliving the very event that in the future, was the reason she stepped into a rath in the first place. But this time, she has a chance to change history. Fey history. If Siobhan can prevent the Unhallowed from ever coming into being, and return to the furture, the terrible battle that is taking place there will instantly disappear-and none of them will need to go on their dangerous missions to retrieve the rathstones.
This is such an amazing book!!!!! I was so upset when I found out the series had been discontinued. This book is so well-written, and the protagonist, Siobhan, is so well created (some of the best character-development I've seen) I guess it helps that my name is Siobhan, and that was actually how I first discovered the series hahah Anyway, such a amazing book :)
Unfortunately, Hallowmere, like many other series published by MirrorStone, has been discontinued. Please join my petition to get it back at http://www.gopetition.com/petitions/c...
OMG I LOVED THIS SERIES!!! I WAS SO ANNOYED WHEN THE LAST FOUR BOOKS WEREN'T WRITTEN!!!! STUPID MIRRORSTONE!!! Please sign a petition to continue this series!
Not my favorite book of the series thus far, but definitely interesting (at least the ending is far less depressing than the last book!). :) These takes on time-travel are quite compelling.
