The beauty of love

With wonderfully vivid prose, Angelina Jameson breathes life into this story of two people who grew up falling in love with each other. The characters are richly drawn and there is a nice Christmas feel to the book. Enjoyable read.

2 1/2 really but it's Christmas. It a very predictable, very bland tale, but it's free, it's short - and those are the best things about it. ...more

My Musings

This is a sweet Christmas story with engaging characters and a good plot. Lilly and Charles are perfect for each other. I do wish the story was more fully developed. If course, that is true of many Christmas romances. Happy reading 📚!

Sweet very short read

A very short sweet read. Although the plot is a trifle contrived and the Christmas theme implied in the title is very limited in the storyline, the characters are appealing and there is a sweet happily ever after.

Christmas Lilly

I loved this short quick read. Her characters were interesting and you can feel the love between them. I think I'll look for more books by this author!

I found this a good short story. Lily is a strong character. She wants Charles with all her heart but she needs to overcome a cruel twist by Charles's father in his will.

What a lovely Christmas romance! I do enjoy a friends to lovers story. There is such a poignant history between these two characters. Charles and Lily have such a deep and abiding friendship when it turns romantic it frightens both of them. They are destined to have their fates decided by someone neither of them likes. In an effort to prove he is his own man Charles very nearly loses the most important person in his life. These two are so wonderful together. And my favorite part is the way Lily ...more

Lukewarm at best

This book is an okay read. It is a pleasant story but does inspire passion or interest. Although he is a sporting man, he does not seem manly to me. How stupid he is to not marry her to spite his father. She is okay though foolish to try to throw away her good reputation.
