A fascinating historical document about one of the most beautifully drawn and boringly written cartoon strips of modern times. The insistence in continuing with an outdated style robs this thing of beauty of any excitment. The story of Bestall's involement remains as fascinating as his artwork and his artwork is what bought Rupert his place in British pop culture.
