quite the age gap (as in one just graduated hs and the other is an adult)
the one persuing is the young adult but it still didn't feel completely right to me.
love felt force too and not natural.

This was 💯 by sheer virtue of the younger seme, Izumi. Izumi-kun works at a restaurant/bar that our main protag, Kashiwagi, frequents. Kashiwagi takes out his kouhai Serizawa for some gentle prying into Serizawa’s life, and mentions that he’s thinking of seriously proposing to his current girlfriend. But surprise — when he gets home, he finds her in bed with another guy. The next day’s night finds him back in Izumi’s restaurant/bar, drinking away his woes … and the morning after that, naked in Izumi’s bed. And so begins Izumi’s campaign to make Kashiwagi his.
I just really liked Izumi and how subtly pushy he was. He snuck into Kashiwagi’s life and made a place for himself, and he was so straightforward about what he wanted from Kashiwagi. It was so refreshing? And cute? And also Izumi’s absolutely a ‘I want what I want’ seme and Kashiwagi is weak to the forthrightness of his emotions.
If there’s one reason why I can’t give this five stars, it’s the portrayal of Kashiwagi’s girlfriend, who’s a fucking crazy bitch. Like, she’s the only female representation in the manga, and she is shitty as fuck. Until the end she’s a bitter bitch who for some reason ruined the one (?) good thing in her life and then had the fucking gall to turn around and try and make Kashiwagi feel bad about having been taken advantage of. Of course you’re going to side with Izumi splashing water on her at a theme park.

Kashiwagi planea pedirle a su novia que se case con él. Cuando la descubre engañándolo con otro hombre, queda conmocionado. Desesperado por su desgracia, se emborracha en el pequeño pub que frecuenta, solo para despertarse desnudo y en la cama con el sobrino del dueño, Izumi, ¡que solo tiene dieciocho años!
Así comienza esta historia tierna en la que Izumi trata de lograr que Kashiwagi lo vea como un interés romántico, cosa un tanto difícil ya que ambos son hombres y Kashiwagi es claramente heterosexual. Lo que más me gusta de esta historia es que no comienza con sexo ni atracción sexual, sino que ambos comienzan a conocerse poco a poco, a salir y a compartir momentos que los llevaran a una aceptación mutua y finalmente a un lindo enamoramiento.
Una historia tierna, obviamente predecible, pero eso no le resta encanto.

The 11-year age gap actually bothers me quite a bit, but since ML was 19 when he gave consent for sex, I'm trying to be more relaxed about it. Although, I do think that at that age (he turns 19 close to the end), ML's emotional stability and maturity are still something to consider.
I didn't really enjoy this manga. I mean, compared to Yoshio-sensei's other works, I liked this one less. Plus, there's a part that mentions the "bottom role" being the "female side," and I feel like you can't really box both roles into the same category like that. I don't know, maybe I need to read more studies to make a stronger argument.

Típica historia donde un lindo y reservado chico gay se enamora de un cliente habitual heterosexual con novia. No me malinterpreten, no estoy juzgando, solo recalco la premisa exacta. En realidad creo que es una historia bastante linda y con la típica diferencia considerable de edad; aunque tampoco es tanta (no se asusten).
Final feliz para la pareja.

Esta sería como una continuación de su otra historia, narrando la vida de Kashi (el jefe y amigo de Serizawa).
Y un chico de secundaria que trabaja en el local de su tío, y se acaba enamorando de Kashi.
El cómo ellos van conformando su vida, conociéndose y después se llegan a amar; de eso se trata este manga.

This is a quasi-sequel to Ijiwaru Shinai de, where the boss gets courted by a determined young man. Sweet story :)
