3.5 - Stuck in a lie. A lie that could never be told. Stars.

So we return to Storm, Texas for the fourth instalment in the soap-novella series. Jennifer Probst pens Dance in The Wind, and it pretty much takes up where it’s predecessor left off, Logan Murphy’s return to town…

"I thought you wanted me to be bad?”

I think the list of fictional families involved in this series, will give you an indication as to how much is actually going on in each one of these novellas. You have -

Allen
Alvarez
Douglas
Grossman
Johnson
Moreno
Murphy
Prager
Rush
Salt

And each and every one of them has more than a little something going
on in the overall scheme of the story.

So many secrets to keep.

That’s what I like about the series as a whole, because even though so much is going on; for instance in this novella alone you are looking at the development of Ginny and Logan’s relationship, the discovery that Hannah although with Tate has totally inappropriate feelings for someone else. There is the whole Dakota Alvarez looming car crash of life choices, and the rest of the Alvarez’ family dealing with the aftermath of Hectors departure. Kristin and Travis’ secret and illicit meetings, and the women that Patrick and Dillon Murphy both have feelings for not necessarily being in the same place as them, and this is very much just the tip of the iceberg, nothing is confusing or unexplained. I will admit I was worried I would remember everyone and everything but with the novellas being released on a weekly basis everything has stayed fresh and not forgotten

”One step at a time.”

These novellas never were intended, and will never be stories that can be told as standalones, you can gather from the above just how much is going on, and how imperative it is to have read the previous books in the series. This brings me to my one niggle, because after four novellas is it really necessary to keep going back and going over things that already happened or were revealed previously, it takes up valuable page space that could be given to giving more depth to the plot and the characters going forwards. But other than that this series is shaping up to be a unique and really unusual reading interlude.

Larissa Ione is up next with Calm Before The Storm, and in am interested to see what secrets, lies and revelations will be spilled in her offering to the series.

Jennifer Probst is taking it down a notch with her addition to the Rising Storm series, Dance in the Wind. We are definitely back in Storm, but there seems to be some real love blooming between a couple of characters as they take the spotlight and dance around their feelings. Theirs is not the only focus as we take another voyeur’s eye view into the private lives of this well-named town. This episode is not so much who is doing who, but who are these people, as characters become more developed. I’m not saying that town slimy politician isn’t still making nice with a confused young woman, but at least his mother’s machinations have kept him busy!

One character that is growing in leaps and bounds is Joanne, as she is slowly coming out of her shell with the disappearance of her abusive husband. Too bad their older daughter feels so abandoned her mistakes are just piling up.

I feel that Jennifer Probst has added a huge contribution to the tension, the drama and the never-ending saga of the families in Storm by coloring them in, leaping from one focus to another and shedding some fascinating light on the lies, deceit and scandals in Storm! I just love getting my soap opera fix without any commercial interruptions!

ARC REVIEW

Rising Storm episode 4: Dance in the WInd is brought to us by Jennifer Probst. (YEA!!!) Yes I love Jennifer Probst and no my review will not be biased, all my reviews are honest and honestly this is my favorite one yet. Finally we get to nice people, Ginny Moreno and Logan Murphy. I like Ginny the poor girl is stuck between a rock and a hard place and now enter Logan. There isn't much vindictive backstabbing in this one (one reason I like it) we follow up on Dakota being a slut and selfish, the dirty little secret of Travis Salt and the return of Marcus Alvarez. There is also more on Hannah Grossman and the fact that she's dating one brother and lusts after the other. So this was a good one lots of internal struggle.

It start off with a party, the welcome home party for Logan Murphy everyone is there. Logan feels wrong about having feeling for Ginny but something draws him to her and the fact that she hasn't treated him any different than anyone else. Ginny is feeling guilt, lots of guilt and not just because she might or might not be carrying Jacob's baby but lying to everyone about it and now to top it all off she is having feelings for Logan. Marisol throws a get together and the sister's learn what Lacey did to Luis and Mallory and Marisol's friendship with Patrick Murphy just maybe more than a friendship. Luis also overhears Payton and Francine (just waiting on that one to happen) in the hospital and finds out just why Celeste Salt keeps referring to Jacob's baby as "Miracle Baby".

Overall, I really enjoyed this one. It's like one of those episode where everyone is happy and nothing goes wrong right before the shit hits the fan. I'm scared because of that, I know soaps, I know it's only a matter of time before Ginny's secret gets out and then everyone is going to hate her (I'm picturing the worst) I so want her to have a happy ending.

I received an ARC of this book from InkSlinger PR in exchange for an honest review and as part of the book's release day promotions.

Ladies and gentlemen, here were are, already on the fourth installment of this soap-opera-in-words that has hooked many of us since the very first episode. I can't imagine how difficult it must be having one entire soap copera in eight episodes that are written by different authors. Granted, these authors are all amazing. Still, it must be difficult to have to continue another person's work and have your own writing style without straying too much or without compeltely turning around on character consistencies and all.

Anyway, this fourth episode shows us again just how big and complicated the lies and the scandals are that surround the characters of this soap opera. We get to meet the people again who've been on this journey with us readers. I honestly cannot wait for when everything blows up, the lies, the deception, the scandal, the secrets. I can't wait for the conflict to become bigger and bigger and explode on everyone's faces. This is the main reason why I've been hooked to this serial. I just can't wait for the day of reckoning.

Episode 4: Dance in the Wind brings us back to the more "traditional" soap opera story line. We are once more watching a whole cast of characters and their individual and intertwining stories.

I have to admit that I did have a moment of "Who's this person again?". I attribute this to the last episode being so focused on one particular story line. But once I remembered who she was, all was well in my mind again.

There has been a fuse or two set in the small town of Storm, TX, and in this episode, we get a glimpse of what kind of explosion one might turn out to be. Of course, soap operas always surprise me and never go where I think they're going to go, so I'm sure what I think is coming is way off!

Going forward in this episode, I can look back on episode 3 and see the havoc that is on the horizon. A secret revealed in this episode had my jaw dropping, and I'm almost afraid to open my eyes to see what's coming when it's revealed to more than a select few.

Love blossoms, gossip abounds, and the tension builds! Tune in next week for more of your favorite characters!

By the way, I love how this one ended. I laughed out loud right along with Logan.

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. To read more reviews like this one, check out Obsessive Book Nerd!

At the end of episode 3, we were introduced to Logan. I have to say, I love Logan! He is one of my favorites. I'm sure we will get clued into some dirt on Logan, but I don't care. What I loved most about Dance In The Wind, is that despite all the crazy drama, lies and cheating townsfolk, there was a budding romance front and center.

We are still following several different characters at a time, and I'm really getting used to it at this point. I'm actually pleasantly surprised at how seamless the transitions are between the books, as they are all written by a different author. Kudos Rising Storm authoring team!

I look forward to book four, as they've introduced a NEW character. Not mention Dance In The Wind jumped into the POVs of some characters we haven't spent a lot of time with yet.

Wow! Just when I think that I can’t enjoy this serial series more, I get proven wrong! Dance in the Wind is probably my favorite episode so far! Dance in the Wind is Logan’s tale. Coming back home is harder than Logan ever imagined, but seeing Ginny stirs feelings of hope in him and the connection the two of them feel is undeniable. But, like everything else in Storm, Texas; just when things start to heat up, a curve ball is thrown your way. I honestly can’t get enough of this serial series. I love the twists and turns, having my heart tangled in knots. The lies that lurk around every corner, keep me coming back for more. And just when I think everything is going to be ok, a new character is thrown into the mix. This character definitely has my curiosity peaked. I can’t wait to see what drama he will bring to the folks of Storm, Texas.

WOW,WOW,WOW That is what Storm Texas is all about. This is part four of this series and what I can say is the Secrets,Lies, and All the Sordid Steamy happenings are just getting more intense and the build up is getting so over the top that it has you on the edge of your seat.
The families in Storm are so intertwined and everyone's story is so intriguing that it keeps you coming back for more.
Each part of this series is written by a different author but the authors even though their styles are different they have created a series that is so incredible that it keeps you coming back for more and has yourself asking when is the next part.
If you are looking for a series that will have you gasping out loud, maybe yelling at your e-reader at times but will definitely leave you intrigued this is the one you want to read

This series has a wonderful cast of characters which made for another great installment in the Rising Storm saga. People are returning home, love is being found and persued, and lies are being burried deep, just waiting to explode. Somehow I don't see myself being satisfied with just 8 books! Hopefully these authors decide to do this again! I have not read Jennifer Probst's writing before but I found it easy to read and become engaged in the story.

This series is really starting to find it's momentum. There is so much going on in this installment, I don't know where to begin. New love blossoms. Forbidden longing gets stronger. Lovers undercover get careless. Loose lips might sink a ship. Another prodigal son returns home and causes a scene. But the lies and cover ups are brewing under the surface and you feel the tension getting stronger. I'm so enjoying this series and I cannot wait for the next one!

This installment features Logan Murphy and his brothers. Logan has returned from his tour of duty as the hometown hero, but he has secrets that no one knows. He and Ginny are attracted to each other, but there is so much baggage being carried by Ginny, will she look to get involved with him? We see Dakota and the senator, as well as Hannah delivering a foal while being attracted to her boyfriend's brother...all this and more still making you want to see what more this intriguing group of authors has in store for Storm, Texas. Jennifer Probst wrote this engaging episode and definitely left me looking for the next one. With Paul Boehmer's narration, it's easy to get lost in this town.

This was a good one. At the beginning of the series I didn't like Ginny but this book made me see her in a better light. I still think her secrets are just digging her a bigger hole but I hope she can find happiness with Logan. Logan was a great character; I look forward to reading more about him. Some of the previous story lines had a little page time and I am just waiting for things to blow up for all these different characters. The newer and less known characters had interesting story lines and I am curious where they are headed.

This is the 4th book in the Rising Storm series. These books read like a soap-opera type book.

This book starts out focusing on the younger crowd in Storm. I have never seen so much lying, and deceit among friends in all my life. Boyfriend stealing from best friends no less. Being pregnant by god knows who and having the hots for someone else. Living in a home just because they asked you too. Senators sleeping with young girls. I mean for real....this doesn't happen in real life does it???

These books are more like sections of books, all put together they make a whole book. If you are looking for drama, these books are for you. If you want a quick read, these books are for you.

"Dance in the Wind" was an incredible episode, with a whole series of new discoveries and I was utterly surprised, things are going on unabated, and definitely it's the best episode so far.I'm feeling a bit like a citizen from Storm, who starts gossiping about others.
At the beginning of the story, the party organized in Logan's honor, for his coming home, it seemed like some sort of "red carpet", where you can see all the characters encountered in the previous episodes, with their secrets in plain view for those who read it. Kristin and Travis and their secret relationship, Dakota and her machinations in order, finally, to run away from Storm... almost all present in the same room, committed to keep their secrets hidden.
It was also the opportunity to get to know Logan and his family, the Murphys. I thought the reluctance of Logan on returning home was related to outstanding issues with his family but it is otherwise. He's only twenty-four years old, but his soul is older because of his time in Afghanistan, this guy has seen and experienced everything, the worst, and he carries the scars of it, he finds himself surrounded by the love of his family, which wraps around him like a warm embrace, and for Logan is almost unreal, on one hand, but on the other hand he feels like no one could understand the torment he hides within him. The Murphys are an Irish family, they're very close to each other and they're a real clan. Their family is the true heart of Storm.
I loved Logan, he is very perceptive, observant, perhaps due to the fact of having been away for so long, he captures all the nuances and small signs of what people seem to want to hide.
He's definitely a tormented character, but very protective of Ginny, strong, confident and ready to get involved with her, he wants his chance with Ginny, though she is pregnant by another man and having in turn a lot of baggage on her shoulders, but maybe this is what triggered the spark between them: they can understand each other without speaking after such tragic experiences
Their relationship isn't so easy to accept, especially for Ginny, who is feeling a lot of guilt towards everything that's going on.
Apparently the rules are just made to be broken in Storm and Hannah, Joanna's sister, is fighting too her attraction against someone who should be for her absolutely off-limits, so far she has managed to linger, but in the future I don't know.
And then... Jennifer Probst dropped a real bomb, with nonchalance, leaving me completely shocked, I couldn't believe it, and the best part is that after this revelation, everything goes on as before, but now the whole story becomes even more intricate and some of its players are even more incomprehensible in their choices.
And the surprises are certainly not finished. What is keeping me very jittery at the moment is Payton, Senator Rush's wife, she's always so precise, so measured in her speeches and perfect, but I feel and I know for sure she will bring a big surprise, it's in the air and you can find it reading beetween the lines, and if what I think is going to happen, I don't want to miss the reaction of the macho man Senator!!!
Other couples are beginning to glimpse to the horizon, other unexpected returns to Storm, like Marcus, Dakota and Mallory's brother.
It is true that in this town, nothing is as it seems and as usual we just have wait for the next episode to find out more, and the next one is written by Larissa Ione.

Review courtesy of Dark Faerie Tales

Quick & Dirty: Fast moving romance for the main couple, side characters want what they can’t have and a story that I am now completely invested in. Will any of these couples actually get their own HEAs? Or will it be like most soap operas with a happy for now ending before things get stirred up again?

Opening Sentence: Logan Murphy paused in the doorway of Murphy’s Pub.

The Review:

The grass is always greener on the other side. That was all I could think about while reading the fourth installment of the Rising Storm series. Dance in the Wind was written by Jennifer Probst. I really enjoyed the writing in this installment. Surprisingly, the characters actions and feelings haven’t changed much over the course of this series, with the different authors.

I don’t want to say too much about the events that happen during Dance in the Wind but this story focuses more on Ginny Moreno and Logan Murphy. Ginny is pregnant with another man’s baby but Logan doesn’t care. She is the only one in town with eyes as haunted as his. She has gone through something so terrible that only he can understand and help her with because he needs his own therapy that only Ginny can provide.

The other residents of Storm, Texas stories are slowing moving along. Quite a few people show up and update where they are in their stories. (Although, it felt like all the other stories were about people who were unhappy with who they were with. They wanted someone else hence my grass is always greener statement at the beginning of this review.) Ginny and Logan’s story seemed to move quickly over time but everyone else is playing out slowly so I’m not sure if everyone is on the same timeline or not. They seem to be but I feel like some events are happening out of order.

I can’t wait to see how the arrival of the town’s newest visitor plays out, especially with his family. They have been the most affected by the events of the soap opera so far.

At this point, I’m in it for the long haul. I’m invested in these characters and their story. I am really intrigued to see how this series plays out, do some of these characters get an HEA or is this like a straight up soap opera, where some characters are happy for now while others are completely fine with creating conflict and making others unhappy? Ultimately, it is how these stories end will determine if I enjoyed this series or not but for now, I’m enjoying the writing and the atmosphere of this desert Texas town.

Notable Scene:

“What did you want to talk about?” she asked hesitantly.

He took a step closer. Her gaze fell on those lush lips and she remembered the feel of them sliding over hers. Giving such sweet pleasure. Adoring her in a way that shattered her heart because she never believed she’d experience something beautiful again after losing Jacob. Oh, God, focus.

“I know you’re worried about letting me be more than your friend. But I’m not going to stop, Ginny. Not until you let me put my arms around you, and kiss you, and let me take care of you. You wormed your way into my heart, and I can’t go back. So, this time, formally, I’m asking you to go out with me. In public. As more than my friend. As your boyfriend.”

FTC Advisory: Evil Eye Concepts, Inc. provided me with a copy of Dance in the Wind. No goody bags, sponsorships, “material connections,” or bribes were exchanged for my review.

This was my favorite of the series so far. Not a lot happened in the book really, but story did move along nicely. Or at least it didn't feel like a lot happened, but when I review the book right now, there actually was a lot. But it didn't feel like it.

I think what I most liked was all the character moments in the book. Every plot point seemed to come out of a place of honesty to the characters.

This is the first book in which we get to be inside Logan's head a bit and Jennifer Probst did a wonderful job of describing what it must be like for a veteran to come back from a war zone. I have no experience of this, except what some friends of mine tell me, and it sounds very true to life. I like that we get to understand him in a way that most of the other characters probably do not yet.

His burgeoning romance with Ginny was lovely to watch unfold. It felt really nicely paced, and I like that both of them are a bit wounded and wanted to talk it over with their families before committing to anything. They are both very mature, which is really refreshing to read for younger characters. I especially enjoyed their shared bond of having survivor's guilt. I think they might become the most stable couple in Storm. And while on a televised soap, that would be the kiss of death, I think it could actually be a good thing in this book soap. Of course there is still one big secret that Ginny is hiding.

That secret, the paternity of Ginny's child, had a pretty major revelation in this book. I won't spoil it for those that haven't read it yet, though. I do like how it came out, in a scene between Payton and Francine. That is also a lovely relationship that is blossoming.

Of course, in true soap opera form, someone overheard said secret. Luis. Ginny's brother. This adds another layer of suspense simply because someone else knows about it. Add in the fact that he is family makes it even juicier. And it gave us a lovely meta moment where Luis feels like he's caught up in a crazy soap opera. I do love a good meta moment in things, and I give big kudos to Jennifer Probst for how seamless she wove that one in.

I highly recommend this book. You could read it as a standalone book and you'd be fine, but it is definitely better to read it as part of the series. You'll get more out of it that way.

Logan Murphy is back in town and his family is holding a coming home party in their pub. Logan’s pretending everything’s all right, but he’s always a hairsbreadth away from a panic attack. Before he left for Afghanistan, Logan had like Ginny Moreno, but seeing her years later makes him realise that the attraction is stronger than he ever thought, and apparently Ginny feels the same way. Dakota Alvarez still misses her father, but she’s found someone else to care for her. Meanwhile Senator Rush (Ack!) intends to milk Logan’s return for all it’s worth under the watchful eye of his adoring – and unsuspecting – mother. He’s always covered his tracks expertly, but things might soon blow up in his face, and in more ways he could ever imagine.

Wonderful, magnificent Logan puts an end to nasty gossip in spectacular fashion, but things are about to get really problematic. Luis Moreno hears something that definitely was not meant for his ears. He overhears Payton Rush and Nurse Francine, who are getting more and more friendly, talk about something that has been kept secret for a long time, and that only Celeste and Travis Salt know about, besides Payton, Francine and now Luis. This fact has the potential to destroy several lives if it becomes known; Luis is torn… And now that is father’s finally gone from Storm, Marcus Alvarez makes a most remarkable entrance!

Another smashing episode in the wonderful RISING STORM saga. And what I just wrote is but a small part of what happens in DANCE IN THE WIND, Episode 4. Jennifer Probst offers a spellbinding story, as it alternates between the warm Murphys, the troubled Alvarezes, the puzzling Rushes – and more! And when it hits the fan, it’s going to blow up sky-high! Ms. Probst’s legendary character building talent has taken RISING STORM into a whole new dimension; there is so much in those pages, it’s unbelievable! Her description of the Texas landscape is astounding, and she truly conveys the anguish of both Logan and Ginny.

Plan to sit down and read uninterrupted, because once you start DANCE IN THE WIND, you will not be able to stop until you reach the end. And you will not stop thinking about it until Episode 5 lands.

About the book: Release Date: October 15, 2015

Secrets, Sex and Scandals …

Welcome to Storm, Texas, where passion runs hot, desire runs deep, and secrets have the power to destroy… Get ready. The storm is coming.

During his time in Afghanistan, Logan Murphy has endured the unthinkable, but reentering civilian life in Storm is harder than he imagined. But when he is reacquainted with Ginny Moreno, a woman who has survived terrors of her own, he feels the first stirrings of hope.

••••

REVIEW: 3.75 stars---DANCE IN THE WIND by Jennifer Probst is the fourth installment in the multi-authored RISING STORM serial novella series focusing on the people of Storm, Texas.

DANCE IN THE WIND, like the previous installments, has a large ensemble cast of characters whose lives intersect and cross paths on a daily basis. The secrets and scandals of Storm, Texas usher in gossip and potential danger for a number of families, friends and co-workers in a Peyton Place like town where everyone knows your name, your business and who’s sleeping with whom.

Army veteran Logan Murphy returns home to a hero’s welcome but Logan only has eyes for Ginny Moreno-the young, pregnant woman whose boyfriend was killed in the first episode starting a series of rumors, innuendos and revelations. DANCE IN THE WIND begins to focus on the possibility that Jacob Salt is not the father of Ginny’s baby: and the Murphy boys (Patrick, Logan and Dillon) are secretly pining after unavailable women; the Salt family begins to implode following the death of their beloved son as Travis sets his sights on someone new; and the Alvarez family seek information about their missing husband and father as prodigal son Marcus returns.

Because RISING STORM is a serialized storyline, DANCE IN THE WIND should not be read as a stand alone as each installment builds upon the previous premise and information. For history, backstory and cohesion it is imperative that each installment be read in order. DANCE IN THE WIND adds another layer of intrigue, revelations, secrets and lies to the RISING STORM saga.

Rising Storm: Dance in the Wind is book 4 in this serial series. I highly recommend reading from the beginning as these are not stand alone books.

The continuing saga of families in Storm, Texas begins with Logan Murphy trying to get over his survivors guilt after his return from Afghanistan. His attention is drawn towards Ginny, and even though she is pregnant with Jacob's baby, he only wants to spend more time with her. Ginny herself feels the attraction to Logan, and after some soul-searching and talking it out with others, she decides to give Logan a chance.

Logan's brother, Dillon, is trying his best to keep an eye out on Joanne. Joanne is slowly coming out of her shell since Hector is gone, much to the dismay of her daughter Dakota. Dakota is seeking a fix to her feelings of abandonment so she clings tighter to her relationship with Sen. Sebastian Rush.

Logan's other brother, Patrick, is trying to get more out of his friendship with Marisol, but she's always putting on the brakes because she doesn't want her heart broken.

Finally, Marcus Alvarez has returned once he learned that his father had left town. He knows that he needs to be there for his sisters and his mother. He doesn't expect the welcome he receives or that little Brittany Rush has all grown up.

The characters are even more drawn out in this installment and we can see Jennifer Probst's wonderful writing style bring them even more to life. The angst between Patrick and Marisol, as well as the love blossoming between Logan and Ginny, brings a highlight to this installment. We only see glimpses of the Travis/Kristin and Sebastian/Dakota affairs, but we know they are still going on and going on strong as Kristin has vowed to never give up Travis Salt. We also get a glimpse of Celeste Salt's inner turmoil that surely will be brought up again. Stay tuned for Marcus' and Brittany's story next!

Jennifer Probst is one of my favorite authors so it isn't a surprise that I couldn't wait to get my hands on her episode in the series. And as always, she didn't disappoint. Similarly to the previous episodes, I got a little bit of everyone's story, but the focus was on Logan and Ginny. And let me tell you, they are definitely quite an interesting entity. Their connection is undeniable and they understand each other on a level that nobody else does. I am just hoping that things don't blow up in their faces because of the secrets Ginny is keeping.

Apart form that, there were few quite interesting revelations. And I can honestly say that I didn't expect them at all. I am wondering how things will sort themselves in the end in light of the secrets kept by the main characters. I was also finally able to get some more of Marisol. I admire her strength and determination but it is also obvious that in a way she is cared to really live. I am hoping that She will finally give Patrick a chance. But if you ask me, the culmination of this part was Marcus. If you've read the previous parts, you definitely know who I am talking about. Yep, he finally shows up. And let me tell you, the guy knows how to make an entrance. I can't wait to get more of that delicious hunk ;)

So in a few words, this is a great addition to the series. With every single episode, the lives of the citizens of Storm get more and more complicated and there are secrets popping up left and right. If you are into soap operas and are looking for a short read fix, you definitely need to check this series :) You won't regret it :)

After the high from CROSSWINDS I was hoping this would pick up right where that one left off. But as it is with these stories, they've each had a focus on a certain group of characters, so it was time to switch things up a bit here. the cliffhanger we are left with in CROSSWINDS isn't address much in this story but we do get to know Logan Murphy more.

He's the soldier returning from Afghanistan. We get a small glimpse of him and his demons in the previous installment and this episode is the build up of his relationship with Ginny Moreno.

Ginny Moreno and Logan Murphy had an attraction before he went away, but with the age difference it never went anywhere. Now that it can, it'll be built on lies and half truths. And boy, will this web get ever so tangled. I have no idea how this can all get resolved without major truths coming out and heartache to result from it. These two are a couple I will be rooting for. I just don't know how they can make it work in the end.

I admit the interest for the characters is not at an all time high, but these stories are quick and entertaining. Although I would prefer to start seeing a bit of resolutions instead of adding more to the pile.

Dance on the Wind is an ARC review. This book is the fourth story in the Rising Storm series. Another wonderful story of young love between two people whose baggage runs deep but this pulls them closer together. This book focuses on the growing relationship between Ginny and Logan.

Logan has recently returned from Afghanistan where he was a solder. He went into the military to escape Storm, Texas to see the world and not live in the shadow of his two older brothers. His experiences in Afghanistan have left him with guilt that he is struggling to deal with as he was the only one to survive.

Ginny's story was told in book one, Tempest Rising. Ginny is carrying the guilt of killing Jacob and the possible lie that the baby she is carrying probably is not Jacob's.

The two are able to deal with their guilt together where they couldn't alone. The story in this book is of them coming to terms with their feelings and finding a fresh start at love.

While this is the main story, we learn about Marisol, Ginny's older sister and guardian, and Patrick Murphy. Two best friends who I am certain will be featured in an upcoming story. In the third story, we learned about Luis and Mallory. They are still broken up but Luis is trying everything in his power to make it right with Mallory.

I have become so invested in these characters that I anxiously wait for each episode to come out. I was not sure that I would like the changing of author with each book but so far it has been refreshing and addictive.

Well worth the time and money.

This episode brings us deeper into the secrets in Storm but it also gives us a glimpse in what may become Ginny's new relationship. I have to say I like Ginny and Logan together, and how they calm the storms inside them whenever they are in the others presence! That scene where he stands up for her in the diner is truly awww. . . Worthy let me tell you! I am so glad that Ginny is finally coming out of her room and getting out in the world. She has been one of my favorite characters all through this series and I sincerely hope that when all of the secrets start coming out that she dosen't get destroyed in the crossfire.

Speaking of secrets we get another view into Jacob's dad Travis and his affair with Kristin, which I just see ending badly just like Dakota's relationship with the Senator. Infidelity always has a price and in Storm I have the feeling it's going to be a high stakes pursuit.

A new couple is also introduced Hannah & Tate are dating but Hannah also feels sparks with Tate's brother Tucker. It's going to be interesting to see where that one goes, I would think Tucker would be a better fit for her but I may have just read too many cowboy romance novels to where the vet and the rancher fall in love. All in all this was a really jam packed episode this week which kind of made up for last week's episode just kind of ending abruptly. We are getting closer to the end of the season so it's going to be getting really juicy!

Dance In The wind is probably my favourite episode so far, and is written by Jennifer Probst.

After getting an introduction to Logan Murphy in Crosswinds, we get to know more about the man that is back from Afghanistan and the woman that's caught his eye...Ginny Moreno! Both are kindred souls but can they overcome the past to find a future together and if so, will the close-knit Storm community let them?

Ginny's Sister Marisol is also on the radar of another Murphy brother, Patrick. Will these old friends become lovers?

Warning!!! - potential love triangle! Yep, the tension in Storm ratchets up a notch or two more when Joanne Alvarez's sister Hannah realises she loves one brother but lusts after the other one! Oh my! And of course, Dillon Murphy is still has Joanne in his sights.

As the plot gets thicker, the lies are taking on personalities of their own. Another sordid tryst is unveiled whilst the heat is turned up between Sebastian Rush and Dakota Alvarez. Poor Luis Moreno is still proclaiming his innocence.

I confess...I'm addicted to these weekly soap opera novellas and loving the concept. I'm impressed by the way each new author takes over the reins of the plot to write their episode seamlessly. I was concerned that'd forget names of characters but have managed to remember everyone as they appear. The website for this series has useful family trees for the residents of Storm, so there is help available if a name escapes your memory: http://risingstormbooks.com/

What a revealing episode Jennifer Probst has given us! The more I read of this series, the more I'm loving Storm, Texas. I'm excited how each week we're getting new characters and how each author is able to carry on the story from the previous week written by a different author with seamless transition.

There were so many jaw dropping, at least for me, events in this week's episode....We find out that there may be a chance Ginny's baby REALLY is a miracle in more ways than one...and what a shocker this was because if this gets out, all of Storm, Texas will be in an uproar. One of the "pillars of the town" may have feelings for another resident of Storm that I'm guessing will not be accepted by the other residents.

One of my favorite parts of this book is the burgeoning relationship between Ginny and Logan Murphy. They each can understand the trauma of loss and feeling the responsibility of the loss. Their natural gravitational pull they have towards each other is innocent yet has so much passion in it at the same time. I'm rooting for them to make it as these are two people that have experienced hardships and loss and finally deserve to get a break.

At the very end of this episode, Marcus Alvarez comes back to town and he may just stay because of a girl that he's always wanted has now grown up and may just be woman enough to handle him....

MAN DOES LOGAN SOUND HOT! This episode revolves around the uber-sexy Logan Murphy who is freshly returned from Afghanistan. He happens to run into my favorite girl, Ginny Moreno and sparks fly! I love these two together but have to say that this relationship might just be the catalyst that breaks apart Celeste and Travis Salt, the parents of Ginny's lost love Jacob (who she is also claiming to be the father of her unborn child). Travis's response when Ginny asked if the Salt's would be okay with her seeing Logan makes me think that he is leaning towards leaving Celeste for his mistress Kristin...
This book also shows us more of Dakota Alvarez's shenanigans with Sebastian Rush, the married senator and all around creepy older dude. I am thinking that Dakota may soon be burning Storm down to the ground after what Ginny's brother Luis overhears while at the hospital concerning Jacob Salt... Seems like Ginny is always (unintentionally) getting everything Dakota sets her eyes to and if this bit of news gets out the whole town better beware.
Fabulous story and absolutely love all the characters in this soap opera that has been created for our reading enjoyment. I really recommend this series and especially this book so you too can find out exactly what is up with Jacob and why, if it gets out, this information may tear the town apart!

Review will be posted at www.books-n-kisses.com .

NUMBER OF HEARTS: 3 1/4
And the plot thickens. Like any good soap we can’t have anything go smoothly can we? Nope that would be to easy. Plus what fun would a soap be if there was no drama?
I do believe that the small town of Strom, Texas more than likely could live with a little less drama, but I don’t see that happening anytime soon.
In Dance In the Wind we get to see the return of Logan Murphy the local town hero. But Logan comes back with a lot of demons and secrets. Luckily, he finds someone he can share his secrets with. Someone who will listen to him. Someone he can trust will never betray or lie to him.
This series leaves you wanting more, wanting the next episode and hoping beyond hope that there will indeed be a happy ending for all involved. But with some of the newest secrets revealed I am not sure how that is going to happen.
Until the next episode. Watch your back, because you never know who is going to stab you next.

This story contains adult situations.

Ok Wow!!!! This series just keeps getting better. Logan has returned. He has changed. Nobody understand, but there might be one person who gets what he's going through. That person is Ginny. The problem is there is a connection, but can they act on it with everything going on. The town is full of gossip. Will the let Logan and Ginny be together? or Will Logan be able to convince Ginny to give him a chance to prove there is something between them. Logan and Ginny aren't the only ones with something going on. The town vet may be torn between her feeling for two brothers. Lets not forget about Payton the senators wife, something is brewing between her and someone else, and the person may shock you. Louis is on the outs with Malory will he find a way to win her back or will Lacy get what she wants after all. So much happening you won't want to get behind in all the things happening in a little town called Storm Texas. This storm is picking up wind watch out or you'll get blown away.
